1.79KG max load and you claim it's good for DSLRs? Hmm…

    • this

Plenty of margin for majority of APS-C DSLR/lens combinations, that this unit is targeted at. Even with a 5DIV (~900gm) or D850 (~915gm) series camera you still have enough weight allowance to comfortably hold another 700gm without hitting the max load weight.

Also keep in mind that most people who shoot video are using primes which also tend to be lighter than professional zooms.

If you need to stabilise a heavier set up then maybe the Crane 3 Lab would be a better choice (Max load 4.5kg)

      • so is there offer on Crane 3 Lab as well ?

        • Sadly, not that I know of. I'd share if I was told of one

Is this better than my selfie stick?

I am quite sure you always have your hand on that.

For anyone that have this gimbal, is it pushing it for a a7ii and 16-35 wide lens? Looking for a gimbal for a wedding shoot 🙂

    • At this price i would recommend the Feiyu AK2000 - I have one and it's meant to hold up to 2.8kg. I use it with an a7r2 with a variety of lenses for weddings and other videos and its been great!

    • For your shotgun wedding, we have used the same setup on both the Crane v2 Plus and the AK2000 rigs, can say that either is good (the v2 without the plus is pushing it).

The App for the Crane v2+ was a PIA but I hear it's improved lately, the AK2000 from the December firmware has some improvements.

      • Thanks guys!

  • I'm planning to use this with a canon 80D and Sigma 18-35 f1.8 they have a combined weight of 1540g

Does anyone have experience with setups similar to this??

    • By weight you have a little leeway still so you should be good to go.

  • Can i use this with Nikon D3500 with AF-P 18-55 VR Single Lens?

    • Should be perfectly fine, your set up is well under the max weight load

Good price. I sold this used for more than this when I swapped to the weebill lab

Now in thinking if I should go back to this as the weebill isn't as stable as I would like…

    • How bad is the stabilisation on the weebill? I'm still using crane v2 for my travels, looking at weebill to make my setup smaller(less noticeable), been waiting for stabilisation issues to be resolved before I pull the trigger.

      • Need more testing as I went from a GH5 with dual IS to a Fuji with only lens IS
