    Important. Must Read this
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/470240

  • Tempted to get this for my garage and bar. If I take a Dyson down there I'm sure the wife will end me.

Reviews seem good. I've had good experience with other "infrequent use" products like their steam mop. Wouldn't buy anything important from Kogan.

    Anyone got one of these?

I have one. It's fine for vacuuming small rooms/apartment. Definitely not as good as a Dyson, but for the price it does the job. Be perfect for a second vacuum.

      • Maybe not as good as a Dyson but considering one can get 15 of these or one top end Dyson… Not sure which is better value

        • +1

You’d probably go through 15 kogans too because they’re junk at performance. If you value your time then having one Dyson and keeping it for years is much better than struggling with lower suction.

          • @ATangk: Kogan branded stuff is hot-or-miss. Some of it is good value for money, just pay attention to reviews from other OzBargainers. The Kogan mechanical keyboards for $39 are great. This vacuum is probably the best stick vacuum you'll find new for $79. Their DC fan was a bargain in the Summer. ETC

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e5ICoo0EWPU - I wonder how many suffer this issue - good price but if this review is correct it's just not worth it…anyone else had these issues?

    • +2

Watched this before I bought mine and was worried, but it hasn't been an issue at all after regular use. Just don't whack the vacuum sideways into anything.

what cheap brand would you recommend for a cordless vacuum instead?

  • As my experience on Kogan brand handheld vacuum cleaner + dish washer + floor steamer + wireless charger base + sports watch and so on DONT buy any KOGAN brand from them. TOOOOO crap.

Plus no hotline customer servo, if u like to type in the whole story and wait for one week.

    GOOD LUCK

    • I have a Kogan air circulator that I've had for a couple of years now and use it almost every day during summer - never had an issue with it. but everyone has their own experience with Kogan products, sounds like a hit and miss :)

  • Shipping in title please :)

    • I think the shipping price changes according to your location, hence why i didn't include it. It was $15.99 for me.

TBH I'm surprised it's taking this long for people to realise how junky Kogan is. He literally built his company off importing cheap imitations and peddling it with flashy marketing among established brands. They have the cash now to lower their margins and improve the quality of the product, yet they don't bother because people keep buying it anyway.

Kogan DC fan is quite good tho. Bought it for around $80. Best fan i've owned.

    Just got mine.
It is a very bad design.
You cannot just pick it up and get on with a quick clean.
    1) Take out of the charger.
    2) Connect long piece.
    3) Connect powerhead.
    4) Vacuum.
    5) Remove powerhead
    6) Remove long piece.
    7) Place back in charger. (Which is a bit fiddly)

You can sort of leave the powerhead connected to long piece,
but then it doesn't really stand up properly.

Mine will be going back. Guess another Dyson will have to be bought.

    • Thanks for the input.

      • Dyson DC59 Animal is what I have.
The battery was dying after 5 years abuse.
I just got a replacement battery with double the mAh.
Now it is just like new, but with 12 minutes MAX POWER (up from standard 6 min).
I never use standard mode, but I guess that would be 40min+ now!
Probably enough to do the next-door neighbours place as well.
