I checked with the detailed page regarding this and I can confirm it is 64GB

    • yeah little confused if its 64GB or 32GB? officeworks has it as 64GB but JBhifi has it as 32GB, i am tempted at almost 50% off officeworks price of $488

never used a chromebook before but i really dont use my laptop for much more then just youtube and chrome, and playing videos via vlc i assume 1080P videos would playback fine with no stutter?

the other prime day deals on laptops are not that great but this seems like a decent deal

well the chat confirmed 64gb im sure amazon will be responsible if turn out 32gb in some ways.
        more about gpu video performance
        https://www.notebookcheck.net/Lenovo-Chromebook-C330-Laptop-…

      • You will love it .. definitely buy one.

I have a pixelbook, but might buy one of these just for fun!

      • It won't show 1080p video because the screen is only 1366 x 768.

It's an unfortunate state of affairs that all cheap Chromebooks seem to have 1366 x 768 screens.

        • what about via external monitor or TV or using the HDMI port?

          • @FreoIsaac: 1080p is no worries through the hdmi port according to a review. It can even do 4k/30fps although struggling there.

  • MediaTek

  • Don't forget IPS display .. very nice.

  • It's gone. LOL. Just as I opened the Shopback app to buy it and was puzzled why I couldn't find it…

    Unavailable

    • yep gone i didn't even think about shopback app, was looking at reviews kinda glad as nothing wrong with my current laptop was just going to be impulse buy as i liked the big discount on it

does amazon care about abusing the 30 day free trial for prime? i've signed up 3 different times on different emails when prime deals come around.

what… oh i uhm and erm too long and its gone

    • Do you have any idea if they are adding new devices during the sale? I've been holding off on purchasing a new chromebook for a couple of months waiting for prime day but none of the current ones take my fancy..

  • Thank you for posting this! I managed to buy one before it sold out. I've been waiting for a good deal on this chromebook for ages now because I want to try it out but I don't really need it.

    • well i missed out so msg me if you get bored with it hehehe and please report back with your review, and if the unit has 64gb or 32gb storage

    • Was yours 32gb. Opened mine today and it was 32. Returning it.

      • Yeah mine's 32gb as well :( Did you talk to their customer service? Are they going to replace it with a 64GB one?

  • +1

Thanks for the credit :P Good catch on 32 GB and 64 GB. I assumed it's 32 considering the description. The AUE for this is June 2022 and it has got Linux (beta) support as well.

Officeworks is selling this for the same price https://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/p/lenovo-11-…

    • Plus: It's definitely 64GB
Neg: Have to pay $25.95 for shipping

      Hmm…

      • +1

really my cart shows free shipping, now time to think if i am actually going to use this thing or not, i think last time i got a cheap dual boot 8" tablet that dual booted android and windows 10 from aliexpress for about same price and it even had a micro hdmi out port and a usb 3 port. i messed around with it but now i think about it i dont even know where it is.

        • I'm not in a city. I stumped up the $25.95 and bit the bullet.

I'm sort of in the same boat; I don't know if I'll get much use out of this. I've got a great Xiaomi 8in tablet that does most things that I find my phone too small for.

This might take on typing for light mobile office duties at work. I've always wanted to play around with a cheap and decently specced Chromebook ever since they were first announced. And if it gets stuffed with dust or cooked in the heat, then hopefully I've extracted my $249 of fun from it by then.

So, I'm justifying the Chromebook as a toy, or experiment, really. A toy that I'll try to dual role into a practical purpose, but if it doesn't fit, then too bad - lesson learned.

@yak: With Linux compatibility (e.g. GIMP for light photo editing, LibreOffice etc.), it should be more productive than Xiaomi (MiPad 4 ?) tablet. But since this has an ARM processor, YMMV with the Linux applications you need. Most of the basic ones should work or else you can always compile from source. On the flip side, Mediatek ARM will mean seamless compatibility with Android Apps. Will be perfect to play around as a toy :D

@yak: Officeworks ended up refunding my postage.

I'd bought a few other bits and pieces in the same transaction and OW surveyed me afterwards. I mentioned the post charge and they called me this morning to refund the fee.

I felt bad about it (shipping goods isn't a charity) and declined, but they insisted a bit more, so I caved and accepted the refund.

            • +1

@yak: please post your review after a week or so

              • @CyberMurning: Sure. I'll give it a bash and let you know how it goes.

    • sweet .. thanks

    • Back up to $488 on Officeworks online.

    • Huge thanks to you, @smallpotato - the Chromebook from OW arrived today. That is exceptionally fast shipping to the far north of WA.

I've checked my specs. 54GB on the internal partition, so this is confirmed as the 64GB model.

It seems pretty slick so far, although there's been a few difficulties regarding logins. I wish Dashlane was better supported from the first login screen, for example. I've enabled "unlock by phone" to hopefully avoid typing in my complex google account password again.

The machine seems fairly quick. No sluggishness. I can't tell that it's a cheap Chromebook. And while I dislike the white body of the machine (it'll quickly become smeared reddish brown at work), it's so far drawn admiring comments from friends and family who've seen it in action.

Speakers are… functional. Alright for youtube, but you wouldn't want to watch a movie with them.

Oh, and OW has sent the price back up to $488. So ouch if you missed $250 for the 64GB model.

ok i decide will not get this, instead will upgrade my old celeron laptop ram from 4gb to 8gb (replace 2x2gb sticks) it has 120gb ssd already.

  • Anyone know if it's possible to install Linux on this? (eg GalliumOS, ChrUbuntu …etc)

  • Hi guys. Received mine today but nowhere on the box or the device does it show if it's 32 or 64 gb. First chromebook and tried a Google search but a bit lost. Any help would be appreciated. First thoughts are it's a really strong solid machine. Display and keyboard are very good for the size. Cheers.

      • Thanks mate. Was searching 32 or 64 instead. :) Well I have exactly 26.81gb so unhappy camper. :(

        • You may need to treat me a beer.

Click the original link, take screenshots. NOW! The title is showing 64gb.

Then scroll to the top find my post of online chat with amazon staff, confirming it will be 64gb. Go call or chat with amazon, explaining, politely.

Last, let us know the outcome, thanks me later.

          • @CyberMurning: Hi mate. Already done and also spoke to customer service and only option is to return as they are out of stock and were not interested in contacting the seller even using pretty please with sugar in top.

            • @barblade: damn thats not good. lets see other buyers reports hopefully some get 64gb otherwise i feel guilty

              • @CyberMurning: Hope I'm just odd one out. My mother told me never to trust anyone with a name like Vipul. :)

                • @barblade: 32gb here as well.

                  • @jonlol: That's pretty poor. Thought they would just see if they could just scam people as some people wouldn't check.. Mines already on the way back. Good luck jonlol.

                    • +1

@barblade: no wonder, i just got email from amazon telling this item is back in stock. must be yours hahaha

                    • +1

@barblade: Meh, I'll just keep it. Bought it as a replacement laptop that I can take anywhere without worrying about losing or damaging it. It's still pretty cheap for what it is. Installed linux and stuff, so I'll be able to code on it as well if I have to, which I couldn't do on my much more expensive iPad + keyboard folio combo.

                      • @jonlol: Yes, it's just a few less P movies that you can watch online anyway

                      • @jonlol: Well glad you are happy, that's the main thing. While doing the 6am rushed research when it posted, a review or 2 mentioned the 32 gets bogged down quicker and I'm lazy and can't code.:) Cheers

                        • @barblade: Even my mobile has 64. Whoever decide to put 32 need to be kicked in the nut.

                      • @jonlol: After installing Linux, how much space is empty? Will return mine unopened if it's less than 15 GB after Linux install

                        • @jtrvk: If you get confirmation from Amazon you can get full refund after opening (without opening how would we know 32 or 64) then just open play for one or two days….

                          • +1

@CyberMurning: Yes that's what I will do now I guess. In hindsight, I should have just bought from OW and returned/cancelled this :|

                      • @jonlol: Have you talked to Amazon Support? We need to make them aware about this.
