thats correct- 3 ply is $14 for 36- thats 39 c per roll. This amazon 4 ply is 47c per roll. (At woolies the 4 ply is 75c per roll).
So personal choice if 8 c per roll worth it for the extra thickness…
The 3 ply rolls are 176 sheets whereas the 4 ply are 140 sheets. You have to compare on a cents per 100 sheets basis. The 4 ply deal comes to 33 cents per 100 sheets or 31-32 cents per 100 sheets. The 3 ply is 22 cents per 100 sheets.
@spiff: Correct, but… 3ply requires 3 sheets for safety and 4ply requires 2, making 3ply 1.5 times more expensive than listed per sheet (i.e. 33 cents per 100). Also, 4ply feels softer and has more shearing strength.
@cheapsk8: Yeah was just pointing out a more comparable metric, so you can make up your own mind if the extra 10c per 100 sheets (or 1.5x the cost) is worth it.
