Just received this in my emails for users who have never used the Amazon app before. This is for my non-Prime account.

*Min spend of $49 on eligible items. Limited to Prime Day, July 15th & 16th 2019, app only purchases. T&Cs apply.

T&C's

This offer is valid for a limited time only. This unique promotional code entitles any new or existing customer of amazon.com.au who has not previously signed in to the Amazon App (Australia store) to $10.00 off their first purchase of over $49 of “eligible items” made on the Amazon App (Australia Store) only. “Eligible items” excludes products sold by third party sellers including Amazon US (Amazon Global store) even if “fulfilled by Amazon”, digital purchases such as e-books, subscriptions such as Prime Video and Audible, gift cards and postage or delivery rates. Amazon AU’s standard delivery rates and policies apply to any purchase made pursuant to the offer. The unique promotional code can only be redeemed once per customer on eligible items and cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer. If Amazon considers a customer to be operating multiple accounts, those accounts will, for the purposes of this offer, be treated as one customer. To redeem the offer, enter the unique promotional code you received via email into the relevant field during the checkout process on the Amazon App (Australia store) and your discount will be applied (to eligible items only). If you return any item purchased using the promotional code, Amazon AU will only refund the price actually paid for the item (that is, less the value of the unique promotional code) and the promotional code will be invalidated. The promotional code is not transferable and may not be resold. The promotional code will not apply to orders placed with 1-Click. If you violate any terms and conditions of the offer, your use of the promotional code will be invalid, and the discount will not apply. Amazon may elect to cancel a transaction (and refund monies paid) if Amazon considers that a customer is violating these terms or to address suspected misuse, abuse or fraud. Amazon reserves the right to cancel the offer at any time at its discretion. Amazon.com.au’s Conditions of Use and Sale apply. The offer is valid from 00:00 (AEST) on 15 July 2019 until 23:59 (AEST) on 16 July 2019.

Also received email with code on non-Prime account😢
$10 off $49+ eligible products on Prime Day, July 15th & 16th 2019, app only

I got this on my prime account. I haven't used the app.

    • +1

Same here. I guess you can't use any rewards via the app though. Better to keep the price closer to the minimum I suppose.

  • Got this!

  • Was lucky for once and got this.

  • Received this but pretty sure I have signed in via app before. Can it be used on another account I wonder?

    • It is targeted, and code within the email, should be nothing to do if you are 1st user or not. Otherwise, Amazon won’t be bother to send this email

Amazon won’t be bother to send this email

Sorry, this is just dumb. JBHIFI sends out generic codes all the time.

  • Anyone actually have the app installed or get the same as me, no eligible devices for app install.

    Huawei P20 Pro
    Asus Chromebook c302

  • I got this too. Can I stack this with the $10 Prime Video promo?

Also, I presume "eligible items" are anything shipped and sold by Amazon AU?

    • +2

First question: it is not stackable with any other offer.
      Second question: yes.

Read the terms at the bottom of the email.

If it wasn't a dozen lines of goobledegook that makes peoples eyes glaze over and instead just said: "Anything shipped and sold by Amazon AU"… then more people probably would.

  • I received this email. I have prime and have used Amazon app before.

Anyone know why the Fire tablets never came to AU?

  • The app sure cops a beating in recent reviews in app store

  • +1

If anyone wants the code reply to this, idk if it's account linked or not but I will not use it

    • yes, please

    • -1

      Isn't the code 'Targeted' ?

      • Don't know, worth a shot though pmd you whypaymo

        • Thank you, will see if this works.

I wonder if this will work from an Android VM so I don't have to sell out my contacts list to Bezos and the Pentagon.

  • Is it possible to apply in app without email?

Just to double check if targeted I mean. I feel like I never get emails, but I can often apply targeted eBay deals for example.

    • Code format looks unique (16-digit randomised code), so very unlikely

  • Hope it works on pre-orders. Got an email, but the only thing I'm really after is some September Switch games, unless there are any surprise deals.

  • But if use the app won't get 10% cashrewards

  • Do i have to be a prime member to make use of prime deals tomorrow?

  • +1

Wish it applied to global store items.

  • Any bargains?

  • I got 3 codes. Can I still use if no longer PRIME?

  • I got the email too. Will this be possible to stack with cashrewards or shopback? I don’t see how it would be possible since both cashback sites require you to use their portal for it right?

    • +1

Cashrewards specifically states you cannot get cashback using the app; so no in that case.

      • -1

I can’t find the same requirement on ShopBack. Are app purchases eligible for cashback then?

  • Coupon isn't account specific, hell yeah! Worked fine on my prime account, coupon was received on a throwaway account from a while ago.

Use this voucher to buy 3 lots of 45 pack klennex toilet paper for $41.

Basically 30c a roll, which is ridiculously cheap.

  • Sorry if I missed it but how do you know which items are 'eligible'?

    • Typically ones sold by Amazon (e.g. Prime enabled items)

  • Try couple time for sold by Amazon with my new Prime account, doesn’t work.

    • Do you have some other credit in your account perhaps? Even when I unchecked "use credit", it still counted and so I didn't meet the threshold. Had to buy something else first to use it, then this $10.

      • No, I don’t have any credit in my account. It’s a new account with couple purchases via browser.
