Won't buy one without usb type-c charging. although not sure if any do. Seems some philips ones have started to have usb charging, I assume micro.

    Hipster’s Dyson?

  • This looks interesting. Will be handy for making small adjustments with haircut if not happy after getting it cut. Sves getting hair all over the bathroom sink

Husband had this and the vacuum function is near useless. Not a bad shaver otherwise but after about 18 months one of the clip in blade things stopped clicking in properly so while using it somehow it’d unclip and rip out hairs. It was returned and replaced with a different model.

    • says up to 90% hair mess reduced. unless u got a dyson strapped on the end of it none of these things are gona suck up every single hair. for 40 bucks though its cheaper than non vacuum models

      • “Up to 90%” - so vague lol. And it’s not necessarily cheap if the vacuum function comes at the expense of a good quality unit. At this price it’s okay I guess but for those not phased by the reduction in hair dropped I’d say go something else.

        • i see your point but ud probably be hard press to find a top quality unit for 40 bucks. Wahl devices cost hundreds

generally with my experience with this things, plastic units will break eventually doesn't matter who make them.. they not meant to last 15 years.

i guess its a good thing it broke with in 18 month and not 32 months so you can atleast claim warranty

Thee also a 90 day money back gurantee with this unit from Phillips.. https://www.philips.com.au/c-w/promotions/mg-90-day-mbg.html

    • does it actually have some power behind it (the shaver itself not the vacuum)? I keep getting ones that struggle with/without attachments, it just loses power way to fast.

  • I'd agree that the vacuum function isnt perfect, but for someone who cant shave with a razor due to skin irritation, every hair that does not succumb to gravity's forces is a plus for me! This will be my 3rd unit - Longevity of this vs other 'trimmers' is lacking, but i do use it more regularly than most

    • My old Philips one of these is still working 10 years on! Few issues but still great longevity, hope to get at least a few years out of this which I just bought

    • I've been recommend a US made wahl for longevity.

  • This is a good product to trim stubble.
