I love how it says 'Bring a trolley'

  • Dryer appears to be the same as the one I purchased off Appliances online eBay for $492 a few weeks ago, they had it for $579 and I used a 15% off code
Gets pretty good reviews and has been working great

    https://www.appliancesonline.com.au/product/esatto-ehpd7-7kg…

    • I have the same one and its an amazing dryer.

Are you sure you got it for $492?

      Mine was $619 - eBay Discount = $557.10 AUD

You got an insane price, you must have had 20% off… :(

      • +3

Yep, just double checked. It was discounted by Appliances online + the eBay plus 15% off

Found the deal on here as well: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/465632

      • How long does it take to dry a load of washing in this thing? I bought the cheap Aldi dryer last time it was on sale and while it works fine, it takes about 4hrs to dry a load which is pretty excessive I think.

        • Not really sure since I rely on the sensor to stop when its done, however its a lot less then 4 hours, maybe 1-1.5 hours.

  • Damn, was just looking for one too!

I don't really care how many stars it has etc… but does anyone have an idea of how many kw hours it consumes running? I had one that used 2kw hours at a price of 30c!

Just saw in the manual it's rated at 850w… OUCH! Still better than usual though…

    • But almost never better than the sun

    • The rating says 160kwh which is the rating for the year of 1 use per week

So just shy of 3.1kwh per use of a full load

  • Any idea on the Dryer warranty??

    • It says in the picture, that both have 3 year in-home warranty.

      • Arh yes. Thanks

  • Just wanted to check if anyone has any experience stacking a condenser dryer (this model) on top of a washer? Do you need any additional accessories for stacking them together? Also, it looks like condenser would have a water tank that will fill up with usage, would the dryer get extremely heavy when loaded?

    • +2

Usually just a small tank (in a drawer so it looks like a soap drawer of a washing machine). But I think like most heat pump dryers, there is the option to attach a drain hose to your sink.

    • +1

Just put it on top of a washing machine m no problem

      • Would the stacking require any mounting kits, my only concern is vibrations from the washer when spinning might cause it to be dangerous if not mounted firmly

        • Is the hills hoist if you have any concerns

Check this delivered and installed, don't need to bring a trolley for $21 more.

I prefer doing this online rather than lineup and fight, hire a ute, pay for trolley, install, carry to my unit

You've linked to a washing machine

    • +3

Thank you Kumble. Just got this because of your link.

Also saved another $20 by using "20OFF2019" coupon code.

$320 Delivered with 3year warranty. Was looking at $250 for a 2nd hand Bosch.

No waiting or fighting at Aldi, no carrying into car or upstairs.

      Couldn't be happier.

      • +1

The price is even cheaper now! It was $370 when the link was first posted.

Tempted to get this one too.. But the lack of review is holding me back. I've also never heard of this brand before although the other products rate well on appliancesonline

        • +1

It's the same unit aldi and Kogan are selling, just grabbed one as well thanks @Kumble

Edit sorry it's actually the Esatto that is the same

  • Delete didn’t realise it was a heat pump

I bought the dryer last time Aldi had it, and probably one of the best purchases I have made for whitegoods ever. Dries clothes perfectly without blowing all that damp air like a regular dryer. Hasn't missed a beat, just make sure u clean the maintance filters at the bottom once a month as gets fluff/lint in there

  • +1

Washing machine looks identical to one from appliances Online (esatto).

  • I picked up the 7kg (or was it 7.5?) A year ago for 379 and it hasnt skipped a beat. Granted its only been a year but it gets a lot of use, and I got it on the back of a recommendation from a friend who has had his for 7 years (8 now) and he hasnt had any ossues either.

On the other hand the box they sell that raises the washing machine and has a drawer in it, that thing is a POS, took ages to put together, rocks back and forth massively, have to use the washer on slow spin dry to minimise the rocking but its still terri least. If you see that, pass.

  • If there's still dryers hanging around long enough to be discounted to sub $400 I reckon I'll grab one.

  • it appears that KOGAN and STIRLING source the same dryer from a china supplier

Kogan sells the dryer for $549 + delivery
Aldi sells the dryer for $579

    in my opinon
    1) it is better to buy it from aldi because of the 60 day return policy
    2) aldi has better product service (i.e. you cant call kogan)

you can see that their product manuals are word for word the same

    Stirling product manual

    Kogan Product Manual
    https://assets.kogan.com/files/usermanuals/Appliances/KHPD7_…

    • Dont forget Aldi has 3 years of warrenty vs kogan is 2 years.

  • Just bought one today.

    Thanks OP!

I managed to get one on Saturday, thanks OP!

  • Does this washer have a heater because I have cold water alone?

    • Most front loaders now have cold water inlet only and heat their own water. It's more efficient this way.
