A cracking sale from Jetstar. Plenty of overseas destinations & date availability right now, but Honolulu stands out as the best value in my opinion. Safe travels, and enjoy :)
Melbourne - Honolulu Return $304
Sydney - Honolulu Return $308
$20 voucher for the referrer and referee after the referee joins Club Jetstar.
Thank you! Just booked for next year, $304 pp returned.
Aussie passport no issue, walk in Visa in Honolulu? Or special formalities prior?
Just apply for an ESTA online from the US Gov website. I think its $14 USD per person. Valid for 2 years, 90 day stay each time.
esta valid for 2 years??
Almost cheap enough for me to break my ABTJ rule.
(Anyone But Tiger, Jetstar)
nice price. i remember when i was there hired Convertible chevrolet camaro for $29 a day (2015).
best days in life driving on roads under warm sun next to beach
Really tempted. Deterred by the high cost of accommodation, poor exchange rate and tipping culture
what do you mean by tipping culture?
$75pn isn't terrible?
Booked Honolulu. Thanks!
Can recommend a couple of options for accommodations depending on ur budget;
I consider the centre of waikiki to be at the Cheesecake Factory. So use that for your bearings;
Waikikibeachrentals.com for a condo at the illikai. 2 bedroom with kitchen and 2 bathrooms approx $300 AUD. Bit tired and dated but great for families. Bit of walk into town, close to Hilton lagoon and the firework end of town (free fireworks infront of HHV every Friday night). Beware of the walk to the centre of town though still great will make kids tired and sleep well!
Embassy Suites by Hilton - $400+ AUD per night full breakfast included and no resort fees. All rooms are suites so separate lounge room and wet bar which is great. Full breakfast is amazing by the pool and FREE cocktails and open bar every night from 5pm - 6pm for parents it’s amazing, highly recommend.
Hyatt Place Waikiki - other end of town, $300 per night. Clean modern short walk to beach, solid for price
All the best
Not as cheap as Honolulu but never seen Fiji down to ~$450 pp return.
Isnt Fiji more expensive once you get there?
Oops, is it? Guess I'll be finding out the hard way then
Anyone know why Hawaii to LA flights are so expensive?
I'm going to LA during this time period and could jump on some cheap Melb>Hawaii fares, but the fares from Hawaii to LA are nearly the same as flying Melb>LA in the first place…
Have you looked at a map recently? The distance is nearly the same.
(I flew Honolulu to Vancouver in 2013 quite cheaply…perhaps look at other ports like San Fran, San Diego or Oakland).
what is flight time honolulu to vancouver? Would love to skip LA etc if possible
I flew with WestJet and it was about 5.5 hours. Much the same flight time as HNL to LAX.
@xyron: Thanks will look more into it for a future trip.
