Keep in mind only 1 year warranty and you have to send the headset back overseas at your own expense

You can find them as low as $350 on eBay Australian stock

        • For $50 I risk it. It's earphone anyway. Never own a broken one

          • -1

            @CyberMurning: Oky doky

Just saying. Last time I bought a Bluetooth speaker from Sony, I had to replace it 2 times within first month

          • +2

@CyberMurning: Tire Wireless is relatively new tech. I wouldn’t be expecting the same level of reliability as other earphones you’ve owned that have never broken.

            • @PainToad: I sent my Sony WF-1000XM3 back after a month because of issues. Brilliant headphones and I love them but they can still be faulty.

              • @MrFizz: Did you mean the WH-1000XM3? The WF-1000XM3 haven't even been out for a month yet …

                • @kerfuffle: WH-1000XM3, not the ones discussed in this post. I was just putting it as an example in response to @ChiMot. But I think I replied to the wrong person.

        • Keep in mind only 1 year warranty and you have to send the headset back overseas at your own expense

They accept Paypal so you have 150 days free returns. Of course there is still the balance of the year which you aren't covered for.

Tecobuy, DWI, Tobydeals, eGlobal are all the same company FYI.

        • +1

          Lol didn’t know that

        • +1

Thanks, I didn't know that. Friends don't let other friends show at DWI.

        $292 + $15 shipping - $8 coupon (TECO8)= $299 Shipped from Tecobuy.

        • Added teco buy to header since it’s same company

  • Use the Amex offer at the Sony stores and buy something for $100 more and then you get that and these earphones for only $350.

      Buy more spent more

    • very hard to find something useful at $101.

  • Can Any anyone who used them give some feedback, like, dislike? Thank you

    • +5

Yeah, I can. Worth buying (although I got mine at $175).

      Positives:
      - well designed
      - small, so can pop into my small bags (which is the main reason why I bought them)
      - noise-cancelling works pretty well
      - seven tips to try out (S, M, L in foam and SS, S, M and L in rubber)
      - great sound quality (then again, it's Sony, so I expect nothing less)
      - Headphones Connect app is great and any changes you make to sound quality e.g. Clear Bass is instant

      Negatives:
      - not really made for small ears like mine; mine fell out of my ears first day but I think I have the hang of using them now (thank goodness for SS size)
      - noise-cancelling isn't as great as the headphones equivalent (I have both)
      - gesture controls are more finicky than the headphones and unlike the headphones, you don't have volume control

Hope this was of some use!

How did u get it for $175?

        • +1

There was a promo for Sony x members to get it for 249. Combined with Sony Amex deal, ppl could get 2 for 350.

          • @julz15: Yeah, this. Bought cheap wired earbuds to make it over $500.

          • @julz15: Really? When was that? I didn't see any post on ozbargain about that. I need to become a Sony X member. Crazy that they would discount these by that much after only a week of being out. Are you sure it's the same version?

      • I've read that there's no volume controls on the earbuds. For me this is a deal breaker if it's true

        • It's true

        • +1

Correct. I justify it by using the Digital Crown on my Apple Watch lol

          • @ts13: That's what I prefer even if my headset has volume controls. The other, less convenient option, is to ask Google Assistant to change set the volume for you.

      • Hi thanks for the review. With ambient mode voice with music on, are you able to hear people talking to you? Work in a cubical so sometimes need to talk to people.

        • +1

There's 20 different levels of noise-cancelling, and there's a Focus on Voice box you can tick so you can hear people more. Hope that answered your question!

        • There's also the quick attention mode, the same as on the big WH-1000X.

      • +1

Also it’s not sweat resistant so pretty useless for those who want to use it for working out.

        • Yeah, didn't mention this because I don't exercise, however a lot of reviewers have

      • Any latency on these? Had a bunch of problems with this even on more expensive truly wireless earphones.

    • +1

Unless you specifically need earphones the headphones are vastly superior (i have both generations of the earphoned and the original headphones)

  • Better you get an Australian warranty. Pay the extra for the security that if they fail (like mine did after 8 months) that they can quickly and easily be replaced.

    • after 8 months

Interesting considering these just came out a few weeks ago.

      • Meant the mx3s headphones not these. Same view applies though. I'd rather pay a somewhat more for the better warranty.

  • Is there any lag while watching video on Android?

Watching YouTube / Netflix is about the only thing I use them for.

    • According to a number of reviews that I read there's no lag whatsoever with these.

  • do they give tax invoice for TRS?

  • Worth waiting for the NuraLoop to come out later this year. Main advantage is it can be connected to airplane entertainment unit via standard 3.8mm cable. Plus neckband strap means you won't lose one. If sound is as good Nuraphone (seriously good), then it'll be a winner. Although, the Loop won't have a dedicated bass driver so it won't be as good as Nuraphone.

  • Just concerned, if Tobydeals are legit? I ordered a Samsung A20 mobile phone on 27th July and paid through PayPal. I got an email from PayPal stating that payment has been made. However, there is not even a single communication from Tobydeals.. not even a order confirmation email. I am concerned now and have sent an email to Tobydeals customer support, however no acknowledgement.. not even an automated reply. I tried logging into site for tracking order, but it doesn't allow to login. Worried now that I might have lost AUD 214 that I paid for this phone. I have raised a dispute with PayPal, lets see what they come back with. Be careful while ordering on their site, friends.. they seem dodgy..
