    Thanks for your first post!

Please add the price in the title and the discount. Also more information about the product. Eg:

    Sistema Laundry Basket 5.25l, $5.00 (was $10.00)

Edit: ahhhh someone did it 😂

Size of large shoebox / less than size of 2 x 3L milk containers. Like a mini supermarket basket.

Probably too small for laundry use (try the 18.5L below), but possibly good size for pantry (spice collection, sauces, …), fridge etc - to easily carry to kitchen counter.

    18.5L @$7.50 also 1/2 price

Have a few ex-supermarket baskets this size - found discarded. I use for laundry or carrying things around the house or in car. Very handy👍

    • which size fits for car storage? (back seat & boot) of a small hatchback.

      • +3

I use the 18.5L - supermarket baskets. Unless you want to store small items, the 5.25L is tiny (size of large shoebox).

Found discarded blue Aldi baskets (I've never seen in stores) & old black Woolies baskets (after replaced with red baskets) - so reused those. Supermarket baskets will be more durable. Saved $ & landfill space😀

  • Sistema range (woolworths) often goes on half price (not just this basket). Comes in dark grey too. Good find OP!

  • Is this the same size as the woolies or Coles shopping basket?

  • I'm confused how something can stack AND nest?
That sounds awesome - but how?

    • +2

Zoom into the picture, the handles slide which makes the platform to stack

      • i did try but still couldnt work it out. thank you for the explanation.

  • Yeah, I had to decide between this and Ikea $10 voucher! Can't beat Sistema product and after sales service :D

  • Anyone knows the actual dimensions of these in H W D?

I prefer the $3 Kmart baskets.

Cheap, simple and light. Since they are just one piece they don't have handles to break off.

    Bouncy too!

So a traditional oval laundry basket with flexible sides. A very different basket to these, with a different purpose. But cheap.

  • Cheers, the (larger) sistema laundry basket (https://www.woolworths.com.au/shop/productdetails/648151/sis…) I was after, as well as some of their other products, are also 1/2 price :)

    • Hip Hugging 37L Laundry Basket for $10. Twice the capacity of the $7.50 (18.5L) baskets but no handy fold down handles.

I moved away from larger harder to carry baskets to a few supermarket sized (~18.5L) baskets when I took over care for an elderly relative. His laundry basket was so big (larger than this) & heavy when full. He tried to lug it to the machine - an accident waiting to happen.

The smaller baskets avoids larger weight associated with full large baskets, suits the capacity of my machine better, easier to carry, easier to have tucked away in a few locations, baskets for different people, swap baskets over & take full one to machine, etc.

    • what's the quality like?

kamrt has a generic laundry hip huger for $10
      https://www.kmart.com.au/product/hip-hugger-laundry-basket/1…

      • Seems decent, although haven't seen the kmart one in person to compare. Made in NZ is nice.

      • I had one of these, from Woolies, same design as this, (different to the other Woolies one posted just above)and it cracked and broke and threw it away after a short time.
The two cheap, can't remember where I got them from, noraml design, are still in use. And I hug/hip hold those or pick them up one handed.
The Woolies one was quite expensive.

Local store has cool grey colour, not the white shown.
