Helps to let people know it is 120gb in the title.

  • Corrected and added to title. Sunday is a good day for some clickbait.

  • Speed seems way too slow for m.2 capabilities

    • It's not NVME It's SATA M.2 hence the slower speeds.

  • Due to restrictions (rolls eyes) I am unable to post the following deal.

If anyone is reading this thread please post this as a separate deal if deemed necessary.

    Samsung 970 EVO NVMe M.2 500GB $142.46 / 1TB $269.11 + Delivery ($0 with Prime) @ Amazon US via Amazon AU

    Sequential Read up to 3,500 MB/s / Sequential Write up to 2,500 MB/s [1TB]

    • Samsung 970 EVO NVMe PCIe M.2 2280 (MZ-V7E500BW) 500GB $142.46 Link
    • Samsung 970 EVO NVMe PCIe M.2 2280 (MZ-V7E1T0BW) 1TB $269.11 Link

According to Amazon US the 500GB is 40% off and the 1TB is 43% off their regular price.

    • $5 more for Aus warranty. So not a good deal.

  • Is it too small and a waste of nvme slot?

    • This isn't even an NVME drive, it's just a SATA that uses an m.2 slot. So yes, it's a waste and you shouldn't get it.

  • Why did you remove SATA from the title? Put it in, that's important to know that this isn't NVME. It's wasting a slot.

Seems like a good option for a small external ssd drive for use with a raspberry pi. Buy an external usb to m2 case for it and set up the raspberry pi to write to it. I'm now contemplating if I should do that or not….

The Patriot NVME 128GB is $37.85 for those who want NVME.
