        I'm not a pro by any stretch as I'm well over a minute as a personal best, but there's definitely a better feel available than the Rubik's above.

        Different story if you're buying this one for the stand and 'display factor', but if you just want a cube to muck around with but feels more smooth and with much less lock ups, there's better available.

        Any of the recommendations below are good, and if are happy to spend a little more a magnetic one is the way to go (the squares 'lock' in place so there's less overshoot). Not a huge problem for people like me just starting out, but it does feel a little more precise when you're flicking it around.

        But if you aren't worried about speed and just want a cheap decent quality speed cube, there's stacks to be had on Ebay or Amazon for under $10 delivered.

      Yeah, I got this one recommended on the last Rubiks deal.
      It’s miles better than my actual Rubik’s cube, and cheaper.

    This cheapie will turn better than an "official' Rubik's cube. I have given out 480 of them over the last few years.

    "Billions of combinations, only one solution." More than 42 quintillion actually. It's a great cheap hobby. It's hard to stop with just one cube.
