Why is this so much more expensive than the other generics with the same features? For that price I would be expecting a microphone. Similar local stock normally goes for around $13 - $20 and often with backlighting(As cheap as $8 or $9 from overseas).

I bought this backlit one from Amazon last month(out of stock at the moment).

Are you perhaps associated with the seller?

Edit: I have a couple of these with in built lithium battery that I am happy with, and they still seem available on ebay for under $13

    • No association.

These are regularly recommended as the go-to Air Mouse on Whirlpool, corelec/kodi forums etc. for android/linux TV boxes.

I have found that you get what you pay for with these sorts of remotes in the past. YMMV.

      • Yeap same, when I was looking into air mice this was the go to reccomended by pretty much every site.

      • What do you get for the extra cost? I now have five different cheaper models and they all have rock steady mouse movement. One is perhaps cosmetically a little ugly but still works fine.

What do you get for the extra cost? Serious question, in case I am missing something I have not picked up.

i have had minix in the past and rate them the best of air mouses out there .. i have had a couple of backlit ones mentioned above (not the exact brand) which have not planned out.

  • I would prefer one of these with Bluetooth connectivity so I don't lose the USB port on the back of my Xiaomi Mi Box / Vodafone TV. Anyone have a Bluetooth version they would recommend?

    • I prefer the rf/these ones because it lets me use it while the device is booting up - ie if its a windows box i can do stuff in the bios still. Bluetooth stuff takes a little bit to register on startup and agh, bluetooth in general is a pain.

      • Thanks superroach, I never thought of that!

    • I think the majority of Android boxes don't have inbuilt BT.

  • Will these work directly with a smart tv in the USB slot?

    • If it is Android based.
