all spec looks good except 720p, a show stopper… at least 1080p would be a nice one

    • wait, the detail spec in website actually said 1080p, im confused…

    • +2

Yeah I agree. I wish they made 1080p phones that were this size though. Many phones are now 6.2 to 6.4 inches.. way too big. Mi 9SE seems to be the best but the 3000mAh battery makes it hard to go for.

  • When will we see the OnePlus 7 Pro

  • They have to add NFC next year, ultimate budget phone then!

  • +1

yeh 720p is a no go in 2019, id get this asap if it was 1080p

The specs on their ad are wrong.
    It's not a 1080 x 2160 screen, it's a 720x1560 screen.
It's not IPS LCD, it's AMOLED.
    It's not 12+20MP camera with 20MP front camera, it's a 48+8+2MP camera with 32MP front camera.
    It's not a 3010 mAh battery, it's a 4030mAh battery.

Their "details" & "features" are more accurate than their "specs".

Looking forward to some reviews of this phone to see if it stacks up against the Moto 7G plus I was looking at for my wife.
I have the MI A1 and it’s been great.

Screen is 720 but being AMOLED may look better than the Xiaomi A2

  • +2

The 720p screen is a business decision. So is no NFC.

It would've butchered the sales of other Xiaomi phones if it had been 1080p.

Which spec is the correct one, Tobydeals or Xiaomi website??

  • It's like Xiaomi are trying to annoy me by leaving out either B28 or NFC in any of their phones even remotely close to how much I'm prepared to pay for a phone.

  • Just concerned, if Tobydeals are legit? I ordered a Samsung A20 mobile phone on 27th July and paid through PayPal. I got an email from PayPal stating that payment has been made. However, there is not even a single communication from Tobydeals.. not even a order confirmation email. I am concerned now and have sent an email to Tobydeals customer support, however no acknowledgement.. not even an automated reply. I tried logging into site for tracking order, but it doesn't allow to login. Worried now that I might have lost AUD 214 that I paid for this phone. I have raised a dispute with PayPal, lets see what they come back with. Be careful while ordering on their site, friends.. they seem dodgy..

    • They're not dodgy. Well, maybe a little… they lie about stock and are slow to respond to emails but, they generally come through with the goods. PayPal means you're 100% protected and might speed up Toby's response to you.

      • PayPal have come back and said they can't help coz payment has already been released to Tobydeals. I can attach the email communication if you like. If they are not dodgy, why aren't they sending me a confirmation and status of my order? Why isn't their customer service (if they really have one) responding to my email? Why is their Hong Kong phone number switched off / not available? The above behavior suggests they are dodgy.. I think I have lost my money but I'll make it a point to alert others as far as possible, rest is up to the people whether they want to risk their money or not. Happy to be proven wrong though, if at all!

        • I have bought from Toby before. As have friends. Items get delivered. Yes their communications and behaviours are annoying but, I find a lot of sellers, in this space (trying to be PC here) aren’t great with their customer “service”.

As for your money - you have not lost it. Once a reasonable amount of time passes, if the item has not been recieved, you will get a refund. You can ask Paypal what they consider reasonable. Worst case scenario you have chargeback rights on your credit card.
