  • And how much is delivery?

  • +1

I've heard of a baker's dozen before, but never of an Italian slab… 6x3… :p
Nice deal for a case of beer.

  • Scratch that - Just read it was for 24 and not 18 (silly me)

  • Shipping to sydney kills it, big shame this is a good beer

  • $21.67 delivery to perth

  • Dan Murphy's and 1st choice cheaper

    24 beers at $46.99 = $1.95 per beer

    https://www.danmurphys.com.au/product/DM_569365/peroni-red-l…
    https://www.firstchoiceliquor.com.au/beer/peroni-red-importe…

    versus 18 at $37.50 = $2.08 per beer

    • Link shows price is for 2 dozen. Typo in title.

    • OK - subject has been updated and now reads 24 beers, rather than 3x6=18.

Delivery to Brisbane is $21 using their courier.

Dan Murphy's deliver is $6.90 to metro.

      DM = 47+7=$54

      versus

      ALS = 37.50+21=$58.50

ALS would be a good deal for local pickup (Airport West, VIC) or for Melbourne residents.

ALS delivery to St Kilda is $14. 37.50+14=$51.50

The link always showed 24. You ejaculated your disapproval prematurely and without checking. Bottom line is that it's a good deal for pickups and those who like the product.

        • I beg to differ whether my ejaculate was premature. Either way I gave you a warning tap, but you ignored it, then chastised me. I've got no qualms that you like the 'product' fresh - I'm just saying you can potentially get it cheaper - from Danny Murphy - unless that is if you live in Melbourne or are up for an airport 'pickup'.

          • @mshanann: Your error was entirely based on the typo, nothing more nothing less. In other words you were looking for a reason to neg. Why is your business.

            • @[Deactivated]: An error on my behalf? Sorry I'm not following where I errored. The OP posted (which you can google) the subject …

"Peroni Red 6x3x330ml Full Imported @ $37.50 Plus Delivery AUS Wide"

I responded stating that per single unit of beer that it was cheaper at Dan Murphys.

              This was fact.

You then respond some 20 minutes later stating that the subject has been updated and there was a typo in the title.

I then reply stating that the deal is good if in Melbourne, but no deal for anybody else.

You then pull out your inner troll/wordsmith and come up with some dribble about premature disapproval which is a load of nonsense - to which I took the bait.

        • And just so you know I wasn't lying ….

Google for Peroni Red Ozbargain and you get ….

        • They shouldn’t have to check. The experienced/professional Op, should have checked their post. After all it’s an ad for their shop.

The original neg, based on the 18 beers for $37.50 was totally justified. It’s not up to the community to fact check professional posts.

Sure typo’s happen (my posts are full of them), but no whinging as a result of negs due to sloppy posting.

          • -1

@[Deactivated]: No fact check was required - it's a simple matter to click on deal links to confirm everything.

            • @[Deactivated]: So you reckon every post we should have to click on the link & check that what is actually posted is what the deal actually is? You’re mad son, barmy mad.

              • @[Deactivated]: Just a thought but if you don't know what a case of beer is maybe you should start. I'd hazard a guess that most people would click on the deal to confirm details before they jump in. Makes sense to be informed I find

                • @[Deactivated]: I've got Peroni Red in the fridge. The beers strangely (but practical none the less) are packed as units of three, rather than a 'standard' Australian style 6 pack. Selling 6x3-packs (as per original subject), isn't exactly standard, but then again it is not up to the community to validate the OP's post for correctness. The 24 pack actually consists of 8x3 packs, rather than 4x6 packs.

                  • @mshanann: Just for our info: how many of the stores (including any you price-checked) sell cases of 18 330ml Peroni Red beer? Might have been another clue?

  • So it’s $50 + del for a proper slab

Vintage Cellars are $42 for 24 import
    https://www.vintagecellars.com.au/beer/peroni-red-imported-b…
    Dan & 1st Choice are $47

Click the link and reconsider your neg. See above. Delivery could be a killer

      • Just goes to show some neg guys favourite film like this example is " Dumb and Dumber "

        • Wot you talkin’ about Willis?

18 beers for $37.50, isn’t a bargain, Only commenting on what was posted.
Still not a deal unless you’re driving near Airport West.

          • @[Deactivated]: Easy to comment without negging. If we neg every deal because it doesn't apply to us people won't bother to post them. It's also possible that someone will be able to pricematch without incurring the delivery cost.

            • @[Deactivated]: No, 18 beers (as per original title) for $37.50 is a bad deal, worthy of neg’ing, as it worked out at $50/slab, well above others (as pointed out).

It’s not my fault or my bad for assuming the Op posted the correct details.
I was amused at your original comment demanding I remove my neg. I shouldn’t have to fact check (professional) posts before commenting. But thanks for editing your comment.

              • @[Deactivated]: Did you wonder how others were able to work out there was a typo? There was a comment well before yours and mshannon's which might have given you a clue if the 6x3 didn't ring alarm bells.

                • +1

@[Deactivated]: No one e3lse had worked it out when I started my reply (that comment you referred to, wasn’t the original comment posted, hence the “scratch that” it was subsequently changed too.

You associated with the op? You seem to squeal a bit too much me thinks.

                  • @[Deactivated]: No association at all. I'm confident that most others quickly worked it out, it wasn't rocket science. Perhaps you'd like to ask each of them? Your neg didn't change after you were alerted to the error so you can bleat all you like. Simple fact is the deal was good for some, there was no compelling reason to neg it. I've already explained why in case you missed it.

      • Ah that makes more sense, cheers

        reconsidered.

  • -1

only a decent deal if your picking up :(

  • +1

@als3042 you should look at getting better shipping prices.

  • Very special price? This was the going rate for this beer in about 2016-2017. Not really especially remarkable considering anything more than $45 is ludicrous for these even now.

  • +2

Liquorland have these for $42. (Same as vintage cellars). Great price if pickups not an options from ALS.

    • It's on core range now if they don't have it ask for it to be ordered in

      • +1

Fantastic! Figured it must have been a 'special' at $42 Even better. Cheers

    • NSW Price, vintage cellars and liquorland $45
