  note that the discount applies to each adult fare.

  discount does not apply to childrens fares

  it is "up to $200" .

  and even then the prices are sub par, and are usually cheaper through other airlines

  and according to the multitude of negs from this prior deal it looks like prices are jacked to offset the discount

    That's all true but I still found some fares to Christchurch in September on particular dates I've been looking at for a while now, with departure and return flights leaving at good times of the day. Cheaper than anything I've found previously and I doubt will get any cheaper in the future. Nothing spectacular but it's also a bonus not having to book through some dodgy third-party website.

    Many of the cheaper fares you are talking about are at inconvenient times, such as arriving after midnight and returning very early in the morning.

  As above, comparing the prices without the code vs with the code the discount doesn't add up to $200 for the flights I was looking at.

  I still found that they were slightly cheaper than flights searched through webjet/skyscanner etc for my dates. Not as big a discount as $200 off would make it seem, but better than nothing.

  This sale brings it slightly under (around $30) the prices of the cheapest ones you can find on Skyscanner (the flights I were looking at used Jetstar and Virgin). From my experiences I would gladly fly AirNZ over those airlines even at a slight premium. Thanks OP.
