The matching lighting is (correct me if I'm wrong) the LEDBERG LED spotlight: https://www.ikea.com/au/en/catalog/products/10401224/

  • Are the shelves adjustable? Don't think it would fit my Hulkbuster…

    • They’re not unfortunately.

    • Aldis version have adjustable shelf heights, but in the lst iteration, they changed from consistent holes al the way up the verticals to choose from, to just there of four realistic options. Still better than no flexability.

    • You can diy with those chain grip things from Bunnings, I think it was this one I used

    • Even if they were adjustable, Hulkbuster is too heavy.

      • Not if you put it on the bottom shelf…

Also the perfect size to display motorcycle helmets…

    • And marvel legends helmets for those who purchased from that Amazon $99 offer

  • Better construction with the frame and shelf mounts than the Aldi glass cabinet (which I have)

    • Weren't people saying that Aldi ones were better?

      • Personally I don't think so. Glass shelving seems to be supported better in the ikea version. Also a bit more space too as a result of different frame design

  • Oh great can store all my bobble heads in this!

Great deal. I’ve filled my current 4 detolfs with hot toys. Might need to grab a couple more.

  • Has anyone fitted these lights to the detolf?

Do they discolour items inside the cabinet ie statues, figures etc I remember having a glass unit not this though with built in light but this was a globe and it spoiled the cars I had in them.
I have had these for 6 yrs now and some of my items are getting heavier and heavier and recently I came across some info about these had weak welds on the frames the glass sits on and even people saying glass only takes certain weight.
Yet I read info that a guy put with pics to show had 32kg of weights on a glass shelf and nothing happened.
But it does still worry me though one day everything will come to sad end, But surely this would have happened by now.
I'm just curious if anyone changed there glass and got thicker or there are posts about people using these wire rope clamps as a back up to make the metal frame stronger or should I say incase frame gives way at the welds but will still hold up glass.
After having 8 of these and grabbed two a few weeks ago on this deal which makes it 10 I find out that fantastic furniture ones are supposed to be stronger. I don't know as don't own any. But they are more expensive than ikea ones.
Ikea ones are sold in the millions and have been around for ages,I have only heard a couple of stories about them exploding.
