Have purchased one of these before and got my money back after the back of the watchface fell off. Wide spreadd/Known problem with these watches so beware!

    • Why did you up vote this if you know the quality of the product is bad?

      • -4

Because the price is cheap and thats the point of this website?

It's upto the person spending their money to do the research on what they're buying and i've just offering my experience as a reference.

Cheap doesn't mean u should upvote it.Its ozbargain, not ozcheap. I would upvote this if its a good deal. A poor quality watch is not worth a dime if issues like this occur.

@Hero: That’s true, after all isn’t value a key bargain component. Without it there’s no place here.

          • @Hero: Seconded.

          • +2

@Hero: @Hero: One person so far here has said they had an issue. It's still a good deal and old mate can vote up whatever the hell he likes. Don't be petty and annoying

@mitch01: Yeah great point Hero/wizard, however go and have a read the forum rules for a yes vote. Yes i agree that the product can be defective, however that doesn't mean it deserves a negative vote based on my personal experience. The watch is great when it works, infact the best i've used so far.

Positive votes: "Vote positive if you feel the deal itself is good. This encourages the poster to share more deals as they know it's appreciated."

@choumada: Hey Choumada, I chose not to give this deal a negative or positive vote based on other ppls experience including yours. Btw i didnt neg u.

I bought a cheap garmin watch when it was reduced from $400ish to $250. Yes it was a good price, but its a bloody sh## watch and I regret buying it with all these connection issues and other issues I wont get into. I'm stuck with this smart watch until it dies :(.

    • The charging ring on my Sport Smartwatch fell off as well. But to be fair they sent me a new one no problem.

Probably worth getting the Sport Smartwatch over this.

Reviews say battery life is awful and QC is bad. I'd be avoiding this tbh.

Mine would be coming up to a year old. No issues at all in that time. Could definitely have done with a better processor but no complaints other than that. Does everything I need it to and still has a fair bit left in the tank after 16+ hour days.

  • I bought one in Colombia a few months ago and I love it! I was hesitant at first after reading all of the comments about poor processor speed and a few instances of the back falling off. If it falls off I'll send it back so I don't see a major issue there. As for the speed - all wear watches have those ordinary processors (the latest in the sport edition isn't much better). If you really want a Wear OS watch for the software experience (google assistant, GPay) and app support then I think this is a good choice. For the first week I was starting to regret my decision due to slow load times but it settled down and now I have no issues. I'm someone who usually gets really annoyed by less than buttery performance too. At this price it's a great buy.

I bought this watch during last year black friday sale and I have been using this since then.
Just be careful regarding the reviews as most of these reviews were posted when the watch was first released and since then it has gone through number of software updates which for me has improved the watch battery life and responsiveness.

  • I had a dud watch, must be bad QA.
Highly recommend to keep receipt in a safe spot in case you need it in future.

    First watch, lots of battery issues;
    - high battery usage, had to limit the apps/notifications sent to watch
    - phantom battery drain, the watch would randomly drain 90% to 0% within 2-3 hours
    - slow response, probably could do with a faster processor as it takes a while to respond to much
    - the backing of the watch literally fell apart whilst i was wearing it

When the back of the watch fell out, took it back to Fossil who were really good about it and issued a replacement on the spot.
The new watch has been magnificent; no battery issues, performing like it should have.

  • The gen 5 is just out in Canada. 390CAD + tax, so 440.

    Unsure if worth it
