I good arm/rose, bought one at this price back in January.

Take the $39RRP with a grain of salt, this exact product can be purchased from Bunnings for $16, but $7 is great value for those with Prime!

    • Appreciate the support!

bathroom, monitor, and sunscreen. hmmmmm you do vietnamese beef noodle soup too? kidding.

ours is 9 years old but not broken yet. any reason to change them? anything inside that are not good anymore or something like that?

    • at this price it might be worth buying some as spares!

  • Hi rep ,any fixed arm shower head on sale?

  • +1

hi rep im looking for a shower arm + handheld together! any of these on sale coming up?

  • Great idea with the premium mineral zinc sunscreen considering the health hazards into our blood stream. Also purchased the shower arm :)

  • Got a similar product from my local Bunnings 2 weeks ago for $3 had trays on clearance, but still a good deal with prime delivery.

Beware, the description "Chrome" is most likely misleading. While some shower heads are chrome-plated brass, the majority in this price bracket are chrome-plated PLASTIC. The ones that are brass always say they are made of brass, it's a selling point. That this one says "material: chrome" probably means they are hiding the true material.

Chrome-plated plastic shower heads are not nearly as durable as chrome-plated brass shower heads.

    • how do i know if my current one is brass?

      • +1

Weight. If you pick it up and think "that feels lighter than I expected", it's plastic.

At a rough estimate, a brass showerhead this size should be about the same weight as a full 375ml can of softdrink.

Another less-precise way is temperature. On a cold morning, grip the pipe part, and feel how quickly it warms up to your skin temperature. Plastic warms up within a few seconds, brass will stay cold substantially longer. Perhaps try first with a few plastic kitchen utensils, and compare with metal utensils, to get the "feel" of how fast it should warm up.

    • +1

Yep! I have some caroma branded ones that I think are plastic. I thought it was brass at first but it feels like plastic. The chrome coating has worn off where the water jet holes are, so it's ugly (but still works fine)

      • ok i tapped mine with finger i think mine is brass. i dont want to upgrade to plastics. damn cant cancel anymore hehe.. oh well.

        • +1

OP is still online, 15 minutes after my comment, and hasn't come back to say what it is made of.

If it's plastic, you could raise a claim through amazon "not as described", and get your money back. The chrome will be less than 10% of the volume of the shower head. It's like saying a cake is made of icing.

Edit: I just checked the listing, and it says "shipping weight:422g". At that weight, seems likely it is brass. If so, OP should say so in the deal, and on the Amazon page.

          • @Russ: Ok I let you know later once I got them. Mine working fine but noticed a little mould so maybe it's good to replace.

    • +7

you dont need a plumber for this, it's an easy screw on install

    • +2

agree with FeZZa .. i'm DIY retarded and i changed our ones .. LOL

    • +3

Um…a bit of teflon tape and wind it on. If you can't work that out, then don't know how you get through daily life…

      • Easy as pie.

  • If I don't have a good shower I am not myself. I feel weak and ineffectual.

  • False advertising, cannot move horizontally only vertically.

  • Another good deal on household fittings. My old house has much that will need replacing soon enough.

What about the one with most neg!

    • jv needs no encouragement.

    Any deal on Commando 450?

    • +1

Remove the flow restrictor on the inlet of the shower head (you just pry it out) and boom, you've got yourself a Commando 450.

  • Can't go back to these once I changed to the hand held ones. This deal says all directions but is missing "up".

    • Not true. Just rotate the head and it'll definitely go 'up', but I don't think you'll like the result.

  • Thanks OP. Not sure I really needed it but this is OB so I ordered one anyway.

    • Invalid reason for a neg vote.

Yes, prices do fluctuate, both on Amazon and all other retailers. Sometimes it goes your way, sometimes it doesn't!

If it weren't for such fluctuations, ozbargain wouldn't exist!

Take a deep breath and move on.

Item not available? Is it sold out?

  • Not available anymore. Got ozbargained.

    The $39 RRP is a joke…

    $7 is a decent price.

Personally I would go for a cheap handheld shower-head,… trust me one you got handheld you never go back to a regular shower-arm…
(Last one I bought was on AliExpress for $10 to $15)

Tough I have recently ordered another shower upgrade from China. A "water splitter" (Faucet T Adapter/diverter) and a cheap rainshower head :-)

  • Hey rep please tell us how many you have sold in how many minutes. Just curious of the ozb power haha

    • +1

180 in total, with 1 a minute sold in the first two hours!

A few sales also happened seconds after I posted the deal, sometimes I feel like people don't even read the deal title!

Thank you everyone for helping us sell out!

      • +1

yeah, some here will buy first before read and think.

  • Missed out on the shower heads, needed two as well. :-(

    • Don't worry as long you don't missing out shower.
