  • OOoooohhh! Very nice… The blade in my freebie has finally started turning to crud, so I've been on the lookout for a bargain - thanks!! :D

Edit: So, uh. Do Woolworths not publish upcoming catalogues, just current ones? That is kind of annoying.. What is the price on these with the 50% off?

    • Just now? that was like months ago! I've already changed blades 3 times!

      • I'm a 'twice-a-week' shaver, and it's usually pretty thick when I shave, but it's definitely been a while. Hence why I'm quite pumped about cheap blades, give a nice shave and lasted a while, unless some others I've tried..

dont like these. the gilette razors with the battery give a much smoother result.

I was shaving my balls with this freebie and it cut me..

they need the battery in it for vibration to get a smoother shave.

    • +6

I dunno how you can shave your balls with vibration isn't that a bit stimulating?

      • -1

nope. it is much smoother and glides across the skin much easier. The shick hydro does not shave close enough and is very rough to use. always feel like its going to cut you, most of the time it doesn't but after I got that cut I have never used it again.

        • I believe the new Gilette Fusion Pro-Glide is coming out later this week I believe, that was a pretty good shave (there was a promotional stand at martin place)

        • The new Gilette Fusion Pro-Glide is at an introductory price of $10 from Thursday at Coles.

the vibration makes you jizz quicker

    • +1

maybe it was the vibration that made it cut your balls. you probably held it there in one spot for too long.

      • the shick cut me

    • Personally the idea of attaching a blade to something that vibrates just seems like a great way to do harm… But each to their own.

      • you try the gilette power, it will be the best razor you have used. It was also a freebie in the paper a while ago.

damn blades are so expensive though. but trust me, way better than this shick thing..

Im a convert to the hydro 5. Cheers for the 50% heads up !!

  • how much with 50% off Hydro 5 Kits, Hydro 5 Blades?

    • Maybe $12 for the 4 pack. I 'think' they're around $24 normally.

      • BigW recently had this promotion. The pack of 4 blades came down to $8 something.

  • i still have about a year's supply of free ones to get through…

  • +4

@jv, i sense a disturbance in the freebie force, so you must be broden's padawan…

    • It's OK for free, but i wouldn't buy one of these, i prefer my Gillette Fusion…

it worked a lot better once that silly lubricating gel fell off…

      • Hmm.. I've had the exact opposite experience. Worked great until that gel was gone, then was a bit rough. Different shaving gel obviously. Mine is a freebie I got from a car show many years ago…. :D

  • That stupid gel on the razor was disgusting. it kept sticking to my skin.

Gillette fusion power FTW. team it with normal shave foam and it works great..

    • i haven't tried the power one… have you tried the normal one to compare ?

  • Nope I haven't tried the normal one. But you can use the power one without the vibration, and that would be just the same. But personally the vibration makes it feel much more natural as it glides across your skin and gives a smoother, closer shave.

I hate the feeling without the vibration now, because it feels unnatural and like it could cut me at any moment.

    • +3

But personally the vibration makes it feel much more natural

It might be natural if you have Parkinson's or something, but for most of us, I'd say it was more natural not to have vibrations…

I might try the power one next time there's a sale…

      • nubzy you seem to love these vibrating ones heaps… might give them a try now.

jv you made me laugh. thanks :)

  • I hate this fusion blades. I thought they may be fake and bought few from shaver shop .all the same. Hydro is much better, still these blades burn you with their exorbitant prices.

  • Looking at a Qld Catalogue here…no mention of 50% off for anything bar the single razor @ $5.99 Each.

(but Coles has the 4 pack of blades for $12.59 till current catalogue finishes tomoz.)
    -normally 17.99

  • yeah i was using a regular Gillette Sensor and then got the Schick Hydro Freebie in the mail. I liked it, went back to the old Gillette and can't stand it anymore, so thanks for posting this deal I will stock up! :)

  • +1

I tried the freebie as well, didn't find too much diff in the shave vs my Mach3 but I do like that the plastic gel part flips up out of the way and just leaves the blade so can get in close under ya nose

  • In reply to nubzy post
