1560

Good price for the G29. Link to the Logitech G920, please note console compatibility differences

The Logitech G29 Driving Force Racing Wheel for PS3 and PS4 brings you even closer to the action on the tarmac with Dual-Motor force feedback, helical gearing and easy-access game controls.
Key Features

Dual-Motor Force Feedback lets you feel every turn, bump, drift and ripple strip as you negotiate treacherous racetracks with the Logitech G29 Driving Force.

Solid Steel ball-bearings in the wheel shaft, hand-stitched leather race wheel and stainless steel pedals give the G29 Driving Force Racing Wheel a construction quality that’s second to none.

A whisper smooth steering action is provided by helical gears modelled on gearing found in automobiles for a smoother steering action.

Great price. Got one over 3 years ago. First one broke after a year and a half but Logitech were great and replaced it very quickly. Second one has been going strong since then. I find that there are more PS4 Sim groups for Project Cars 2/Assetto Corsa. Does the job well enough for the price.

    This works on PC right?

I have a PS4 and would like the option to use on PC.

Title suggests the G29 Driving Force Racing Wheel is for PS4, PC

    HN site says PS3, PS4

Yea they all work fine on PC.

      • Thank you for confirming

  • Thanks for this post, been waiting a while for a decent sale on these wheels. Me and some other guy picked up the last G29/G920 wheel @ Springvale HN. Also I priced matched the shifter to EBGames $47.

It drives me crazy reading all the comments of these that have had years of enjoyment out of the wheel. I purchased a G920 for XB1 last year.
Had Pcars1 at the time and first few laps blew my mind. Thought I'd never leave the house again…but then it started playing up. After 20mins of pure driving bliss I'll say it started to how I can best describe as "build up pressure". i.e the ffb felt like it wanted to wrench out of hands all of s sudden, so I let the wheel go and it waggles hard left and right continuously. Quit out try again and this time within minutes same again. Forza seems to work ok at that stage.
Read up about it, seen a few mentions and apparently patch for pcars2 made availabke to fix, which I buy, update and have exact same issue. Infact the very first race with gokart is instantly undriveable, from first turn it just waggles hard left and right like its possessed.
I download PC version demo and it does the very same in the kart race.
I get replacement G920 and exact same issue, but by now if I play Forza long enough within 30mins to an hour I get the same issue, with massive force build up and an undriveable car. Any restart will now trigger it instantly or very soon after race start.
I change the wheel to a Thrustmaster Tmx pro and low and behold same issue! Arrggh by this time I have Assetto Corsa on XB1 also which after some time or some particular cars pretty quick same issue! Weird and killing me. Love racing games but they are all unplayable!
I understand ffb and have used default and online recommended settings for realism and reduce clipping ,so some with well reduced below maximum ffb. Updated firmware on all wheels, xbox and pc platforms and accross various games, wtf? and Im not retarded its not just ffb with flat spotted tires or anything..arghh anybody else had this and able to please offer resolve?

    • can ffb be turned off?

      • Yes, either on PC through settings or depending on the game (including consoles), in game itself. Eg pcars there is a massive amount of controller settings where you can ultimately turn off ffb. But it makes the game terrible to play. Turns a sim racer into a bad arcade game.

      1. Uninstall G-hub or the old Logitech Gaming Software
      2. Delete Lh-hub folder within %Appdata%
      3. Restart
      4. Download and install the latest G-hub
Seems to fix it for most people, if it still hasn't fix it, keep track and general feedback high (+25), but set all other types to -10.
      • Thanks for the advice. Unfortunately cannot do this on XB1. But thats what it feels like. Need to remove old drivers and let it reinstall. Wish XB1 had more advanced features to do this sort of thing.

Thanks OP, somehow I managed to get free shipping on the G920 through Shipster even though Shipster ended two days ago. Can't complain!

Got one, in case you are planning to use with a PC the G29 is better than the G920 as it has an RPM light a few extra things - https://www.windowscentral.com/logitech-g920-vs-g29-racing-w…

Some xbox games also play on the PC through Xbox Anywhere and I believe the PS4 wheel might be compatible with them on the PC.

These wheels are great. It was my first wheel and they're very reliable. I have since upgraded to Fanatec, but I would recommend switching the brake spring to a GT-EYE branded one which is stiffer and progressive and remove the terrible rubber stopper in the brake, then take the brake spring and put it in the clutch. It's an easy job to do and improves this setup immensely.

    • It's a shame gt-eye charge a fortune for a spring.

      • It's true, 35 bucks for a spring put me off for ages until I tried a fiends.

Of course, that only led to me to go nuts on gear and end up where I am now with it all.

yay just pick up one from local HN
    thanks

The G29 & G920 are MILESS better. The overdrive wheel you linked is garbage.
      - No force feedback (this is huge and makes a big difference to how well you can drive, as force feedback gives you a lot of subtle cues about your well your tires are gripping the road and the camber of the road)
      - 270 degrees of rotation vs 900 on the Logis

adapters exist as well that make these work on both.

I've got the g29 and have a usb adapter I found at cashies for $19 that allows it to work on xbox one flawlessly.

    • Do you know the brand/model adaptor that you're using? I've only seen the drivehub for about $160 or Cronus max for about $100.

      Or until stocks last

      • They've been out of stock in Vic for a while but have more on back-order. I'm still waiting for mine to be shipped.

Thanks! - I price matched at JBHIFI

This has been a helpful thread, thank you all. I was able to price match at JB HiFi on Sunday. They checked the HN website. Thank you JB! Set up was easy and great fun to use in Dirt Rally. While the PS4 controller can be used a steering wheel sure lifts it to the next level of enjoyment.

  • wish I could have ps4

FWIW For those who missed out on the shifter for $47 @ ebgames, gamesmen currently have it for $49.95 (pickup, shipping extra). If you need it posted and you have eBay plus, can get it from their eBay store for $54.95 less any coupon discount you might have (eg "pickle" gives you 3% off - better than nothing!)

Also, you can get the GT Art "X" racing stand (https://gtartracing.com.au/product/new-x-frame-gt-art-racing…) from oz pro gear eBay for $136.93 delivered with 'panther' code (or the normal one https://gtartracing.com.au/product/standard-racing-stand/ for $109.65).

  • It's showing as $368 for me
