  • Just a heads up got an error page via the link you posted.

  • As someone who has recently began drinking pre-work out coffee for $1 at the local service station, I don't feel I'm saving money here.

Any better all in one that can make lattes for less than $1? What do others use?

Otherwise I'll continue drinking the questionable quality coffee at the servo because honestly, it's good enough.

    Thanks for any advice.

    • +1

Im on the road all the time and honestly between $1 711 coffee and Robert tims instant infusion bags on sale I rarely bother with going to the effort of aeropress or biraletta stovetop.

  • Not a big fan of their new proprietary pods system….

  • Those pads are $1 each! Wow.

    • It's cheaper than that if you keep an eye on specials and take advantage of the deals/deliveries.

One thing to bear in mind is that the $1 pods can make up to 2 t 2.5 times the size coffee that the regular pods do. I did the numbers to compare to my old Capino/Espressotoria system and taking that into account it was a lot closer dollar-wise than I realised, maybe even a couple of cents in favour of the Nespress system.

      • Thanks for that. It just seems expensive for home coffee. I guess I’m not a coffee person and when I do it’s just instant. Thanks again. I learn new things on ozbargain everyday. 💐🤗

  • Be aware that these do NOT take the regular small Nespresso pods, they're larger proprietory pods you can only get through Nespresso (store or mail order) and you can't get third-party pods at the supermarket.

Whilst I did fall for that little trap when I got mine at JB a few months back, I've actually been really happy with it and the mail order service is very prompt, and there are regular specials and discounts.

    • When you mean small espresso it is the ristretto ones or normal 40ml espresso?
Because the machine has espressos and double espressos pods.

      • Small Nespresso, not espresso. As in they are a much larger pod in physical size compared to the original pod system. Nothing about the volume of coffee.

They're also a "smart pod" of sorts, with a barcode around the perimeter of the pod. The machine scans it and prepares the coffee accordingly. I use the original pods and chop and change between espresso, flat white etc all the time depending on what I feel like. I don't want a pod telling me what it should be used for. My parents have one of these and I prefer the coffee I get from my Creatista.

  • "Retailers who sell Participating Products in Australia and operate from shop fronts in Australia including both the physical shop front and online store operated by such retailers."

Can I confirm that in this case Amazon is a Participating Retailer? If yes, I believe this is a better deal: https://www.amazon.com.au/DeLonghi-VertuoPlus-Nespresso-Mach…

  • As a 4 coffee a day family, the Vertuo plus plan has worked out well for us - $50 a month for a 12 month contract, with $50 credit and free shipping.

  • It won't let me enter my address and when I search for my address and select I go to step 4 confirmation and it has nothing in the address section
