  • Anyone know how this compares to X1500H?

    • +1

5.1 vs 7.2 is the biggest difference. Thus no DTSx/Atmos on the Yamaha.

YPAO vs Audyssey room correction (some swear by the later being far better).

Yamaha has a nice interface/app though for music streaming.

The X1500 would be comparable to the Yamaha RXV585, or probably even 685 based on RRP.

Different things. Depends if you wanted to spend $200+ more and needed 7.2 (Atmos etc)?

The RXV484 is $499 on Amazon with free shipping. 5% Cashback would make it $475…if being super frugal.

Decent price though, as only saw these at $500 on eBay with the 20% off. Probably pull the trigger if it was around $450. Weighing up if go the 7.2….

    • Is it a good price if around $450?

      • Yeh. Just from a connectivity point of view. Better than a Pioneer quality wise I've read. YPAO room correction isn't too bad (better than other in house ones). Yamaha's app is pretty good too. Not going to get much around that new with the same features.

Did you find somewhere for it at $450?
