    The standard 5W-30/40 seems to have Dexos 1 Gen 2 approval. The MST version is Dexos 2 approved.

      Thanks @donnot. I've got the 'High Performance Oil' but it doesn't say its Dexos approved. Is it still OK for a vvti petrol engine?

        Sorry! The 5W-30 is Dexos approved but 40 doesn't say anything about that. Should be fine - @brendanm can we get your confirmation ;)?

    No - the closest they offer (at Repco anyway) in Synpower is the XL-III with 503.00, 506.00 and 506.01 compliance.

      You know, I read your statement and said, what are you on about- Synpower XL-III 5W-30 is 504/507 approved.

      I checked and it's now only 503/506 which is an old standard.

      My feeling is that Valvoline dropped the 504/507 approval status as they didn't want to pay for VW approval cost (but would still need to pay for 503/506 approval costs?).

      Very strange… All I know is, Synpower XL-III 5W-30 in the old bottle/drum was 504/507 approved, in the new bottle, it's not.

        Interesting…the 2017 datasheet here gives 507 compliance.

        If you were buying in-store (not click and collect) there's a good chance it'll have the 504/507 spec on the bottle (the 5w40 bottle I got the other day was from mid-2015).

  Does anyone know if you can claim the cashback for more than one bottle on the same receipt? The old T and Cs stated 3x oils, but can't find it for this new offer.

    Yes. Terms and conditions link appears on Step 3 of the redemption form.

    The receipt can only be used for a single (1) claim, but can be used for multiple purchases in a single transaction to a maximum of (3) claims.
