    I can think of 0 reasons to buy an $85 Mi Box over a $72 Vodafone TV.

      Unpopular opinion, I have both.

      The VTV is better if you care about FTA with the tuner.. however android 7.1 feels so buggy

      Youtube goes black randomly, Plex pops up with the "can't find server" every 2-3 days and the overall UI of android 7 vs 8 is a huge jump, the assistant just isn't as good either…

      The only downside of my Mi Box is sometimes it wont wake when off for a while… as i said, unpopular opinion, the Mi Box just feels more polished to me.

        I have the same issue with Youtube. Have to go back and in 3 times before the video loads. Thought it had to do something with ads, but even with YT Premium it still happens.

        If I didn't care about FTA (which i don't) I'd choose the Mi box. But the VTV remote is a lot better.

        With Mi Box, when turning it on, press the left button for 5s, that will fix that "won't wake" problem. It is quite annoying at first… until I found this solution.

      True, though it looks like the Dolby Digital Plus issue has finally been fixed in the Mibox. No more sound dropouts in Play Movies.

      Android 8 has Google support to turn on off change channels and plays Netflix now. This is still lacking in Android 7

      I have 4 Vodafone TVs. And now that Android 8 has so much more features it's so disappointing that Vodafone won't upgrade these. And will probably look at replacing with mi boxes or wait for Android 9 shields

      On top of that Gearvita overcharged me for an order (that I tried to cancel through their system - which they ignored), promised a partial refund and then never issued a refund - makes me wary, nevermind the average deals and medium speed delivery.

      Protip: If you're buying anything with their codes, make sure you order all the items separately.

    Has anyone got Xiaomi iK8 Personal Speaker Microphone Set Home Wireless KTV? Sounds like expensive for a speaker and a microphone unless the speaker is really good and the microphone is sensitive.

      It looks like the target market is karaoke lovers. Can seemingly turn your phone, tablet, or laptop into a mobile karaoke machine.

      The speaker design seems interesting. At first I thought it was a single unit like a typical JBL personal speaker, but seeing it split into two and hung around the user's neck or a laptop screen for true stereo was surprising.
