    great bargain, I flew to paris in may with Air China and paid $890 return. I was surprised by how much luggage you could take on economy: 2 check in bags of up to 23kg each. The wait between connecting flights in china can be a bit long but on my way back to sydney they put me up in a hotel for free in chengdu overnight, it even came with a free buffet breakfast! the only downside to flying with air china is that some of their fleet is a bit old, one of the planes didn't have any TVs in the the back of the seats.
