        • Hmmm OP's link for Windows is '100000 clicks per second' and the Mac version is up to 20 clicks per second… Mac users getting shafted ;)

    • Some other Windows apps here > https://alternativeto.net/software/rapidclick/

    • Definitely not using that, just tried it and got succesful order placed message 3 times which is BS! Very strange

    • Are you running at 10,000 clicks per second?

      • 10 Clicks/Second

    • Worked, thanks mate

    • Thanks SJ50, this worked a charm. Now I feel equipped for future click frenzies :)

  • +1

20 seconds for that last batch.
I had voucher and everything prefilled in cart ready to go and hit from 11:59:30 till 12:02:00 and didn't get it.
Literally nothing but accepting the gift card and all was prefilled.
This is literally BS and pot luck.
I'm already cancelling ebay plus once it's up, has been more effort that it's worth and there's literally no benefit for paid users, free trial users can come in a sweep these up. Paid members get nothing but free shipping and other BS benefits that Amazon provide standard for non-prime.

the stress is raising my blood pressure

This is basically a lottery. Stuff like this should stay on the forums.

Thanks OP - missed out on the AirPods run, but snagged one here.

As others have mentioned, you should see success across 2 hours. In the first hour, if you can click buy it now and get through to your cart page, then you can apply the code and wait until the next hour (if not successful) where only one click should be needed. That’s what worked for me, however I should note that I did this in the AirPods deal, too, and failed so there’s no guarantee.

    • Did exactly that but didn't work, now it's not in my cart :(

    • It is currently in my checkout? Well that work?

      • It won’t, it was in my cart

      • It stayed in my cart from 11AM to 12PM without a hitch - the code even stayed “applied” so all I had to do was hit the confirmation button.

IIRC, from the AirPods deal, it would sometimes stay in cart like this, but other times it wouldn’t.

Keep trying - I doubt this deal will be as popular as the AirPods, so you might have some luck.

  • I didn't even see it in stock at 12pm with endless refreshing

  • was abit scared when seller has made some changes pops out but keep clicking

    • Click now, think later!

      • Buy now, think later

        • +1

          Buy always, think never

  • This stunt reminds me of click frenzy, and we know how popular that event is…. lol

    • One difference is that Click Frenzy used to completely wipe out store websites, whereas eBay can handle the traffic.

  • Thanks OP, got one. I love these stupid deals

Why are people getting hilariously frustrated at missing out? They are making 100 available, there’s more than 100 people with eBay Plus. This thread alone has seen over 10,000 clicks, even 25% being unique, that’s at least one click from 2,500 people. 10% of them have eBay Plus, that’s 250.

People need to relax and not let this stress them out. You still have another four chances, I got one on my third attempt. Chill out, if you get to checkout and can’t process, stay on that page. You have more chance of getting one that way.

Because this is OzBargain. We are ENTITLED to everything we want at any price we demand. If we don't get it we have a little sook. Suprised you had to ask actually. :P

It’s a scam I clicked at the first second and keep clicking
    I’m reporting this to ACCC

    • +3

      Lol. Good luck with that.

      • It didn’t go through

    • how did you get it to $44?

      • eBay gift card?

        • Yes gift card

Ok, managed to buy it this time.
This is how I’ve done it: at 11am I’ve entered the details, coupon code, but was too late to purchase. Kept the page open on Confirm and Pay. Then opened 2nd browser windows under to the first one, same URL. So you’d have 2 windows with the big blue button in each. From around 11:59 or so, press the blue button in one window. While it turns grey, and then blue again (as the purchase does not come through), press the blue button in the 2nd window. Repeat like crazy - basically keep clicking the blue buy buttons in 2 windows. At 12:00, the button started coming back from grey to blue slower - the site started getting hammered. Within a few more clicks - voala! Both windows showed congrats screen for the same single purchase (for a moment I thought I bought 2). My transaction came through at 12:00:12.

Followed sergun's technique, after already having it in my cart from the midday attempt. Seems to have worked! Confirmation email received.

      Thanks Sergun and OP!

    • Thanks Sergun, I kept my 'confirm' page open after my first fail, got one this time around. Received the 'Order confirmed' and PayPal receipt emails within the minute.

  • would be good if everyone just got one, so it allows other to have a chance to get one too.

    • Voucher is only good for one unit per account. Anyone speaking about getting more than this has access to more than one eBay account or is BS'ing.

      • oh ok… i thought someone managed to get one very hour.

  • bait and switch

  • LMAO. This again. Okay, let's do it.

    $99 Airpods in

    SSD page ready to refresh

  • Normally I'd upvote just because dealbot, but I can't do it for this rubbish fleabay plus promo, no delivery to anywhere outside CBD how is this a perk?

    • Delivery is based on the vendor.

      How remote are you?

      • Moe, hardly remote

    • delivers fine to me and I'm 45-60 mins outside Melb CBD.

  • +2

    code should be "PHUCKCUSTOMERS"

  • OK, fourth time around! Here we go!

  • Here we go again (:

  • +1

it says "1 txn p/p" so im guessing some (profanity) will just order all 100 at once? lol

  • Damn it ):

  • +2

    bullshit

    • WTH did someone take 80 in one go or something, I refreshed and then couldn't check out.

  • whaaaattthefffffff

  • +1

That sold out in less than 5 seconds. I am wondering if they added stock at all

  • WOW, I finally got 1!!!

  • +1

got it this time, just gotta put it into your cart and wait till next hour. Then spam confirm order when the time comes next hour.

    • BS did that and was mashing the button from 12:59:40 and still didn't get one.

  • Finally I got oner!@!@!@!@!@

  • 21seconds this time…

    • idk how people are getting through within 10 seconds…

  • "We ran into a technical problem. Please try viewing your cart later."

    WTF?

  • +2

Even the trick of leaving it at checkout wont work seller made changes. Not worth it

    • you gotta do it twice, i was luckily fast enough.

      • mate i spammed the hell out of it haha dont worry about that. Then it timed out saying it expired ://
Maybe its not meant to be.

        • unlucky. It might have to do with internet speed and computer as well. How long does it take between you being able to re click confirm order? For me its under a second.

  • +1

well as my first rodeo, they sold out before the page could load even on 100mbps internet :)

    • +1

They sold out before I could load the page on 1ms ping and 800Mbps internet! ¯_(ツ)_/¯

  • +1

I got a message Thanks! Your order was placed

BUT ITS NOT IN MY ACCOUNT!?

I got this message 3 times also when using that auto clicker about 5 mins before the deal start. WTF?? Going to contact eBay support with a screenshot, this is BS.

  • what bs - sold out in 1 second - maybe someone has a bot and will be reselling them on eBay…

    • -1

      THIS.

  • Finally!
    In the 3rd hour.

  • 1pm AEST has past, refreshing a few times: still "This item is out of stock"

  • +1

Sold out in under 1sec. All I could do was 'buy it now' - then nothing. :(

  • YAY I GOT ONE:D

  • wow to so many new ebay users or 0 feedback. I'm passing on this. good luck to everyone trying

  • SNAG 1 THANKS OP I can finally go get lunch now !

  • Woohoo! got one! like other people on the thread, had to leave it in the cart and wait the next hour to spam that confirm order and pay button.

    • tried adding it but says you cant even add to cart. I think this was changed so people cant do this anymore..

      • There is an extremely small window of opportunity where the Buy It Now button appears (whist there are "some stock"?) to allow you to get it in the Cart.

It was about xx:59:57 I started to spam f5 on the item window for the Buy it Now button to appear.

  • +1

    This is bait and switch.

  • +3

Ok this is garbage. I was refreshing from 11:59 every second till I added to cart and while paying out of stock. I couldn't have been any quicker as my credit card details are already prefilled.

  • Got it too, thanks for the advice about the confirm and pay method. Good luck to all the others trying.

  • -1

got mine. Fairly straightforward if you've got one from airpod deal - you know how to do.

  • Third time lucky! got one. thanks! and paid with 10% off gift cards, so got this for $71.10. Made my day :)

  • I furiously F5'ed it and I still didn't even see it in stock ugh.

  • +3

this is a weird strategy for ebay: its ging to sour far more people than it will please. They'd be better putting a thousand on per hour at a 20-30% price reduction, or canning the whole thing

  • I got an Your Order has been Placed.

But no email yet… did I actually get one?

    • Got that screen too and contacting eBay support now. Will be pushing hard for it, they can't do false confirmations like that

      • Me too. They are checking.

        • How did you guys get to speak with them - via phone? Same issue here

        • Just telling me the transaction hasn't gone through, I am asking to escalate to manager now. They haven't even asked to see screenshot yet. I am emphasising that this is fraudulent behaviour.

EDIT: Now they go and pull this crap "it looks like we have lost this connection; I will end this chat to give way to other customers. Thank you for choosing eBay! Take care always."

NOT IMPRESSED EBAY. Can we report this to ACCC??

          • +2

@nubzy: eBay customer service are absolute shite, no where close to Amazon. I always hate speaking to them

  • +2

This is crap. Like catch of the day…

    • +1

…but at least the site is responsive and doesn't crash, so a little less frustration…

      • +2

        …but result is the same..
most people unable to buy it.

Also I think there is worst frustration
since you actually get frustrated every hour in the hope of actually getting one..
vs getting frustrated once on COTD and then leaving the site

        when the sale is over
you realized you wasted an entire day
waiting for each hour to come
in hope of getting one within the 5 seconds or less buying window before it says "Out of stock"

        • Yeah, all good points. But I'm still giving it a go every hour, though not looking too good.

          • +1

@Heaps for Cheaps: well up to you how you want to spend your time

i tried it last time with $99 airpods
and realized I wasted an entire day trying this crap…
and in the end got nothing out of it except lots of frustration

    • More like Crap off eBay.

      • Better term - FUED

        F U eBay Day

  • Well I hope they got the message where I cancelled my PLUS account……. :)

  • What a scam - every hour is sold out on the first refresh - chrome details refresh 1.00pm when you press f12 said I refresh 13:00:07
