      • Didn't work for me

    • +1

Good luck I've tried that for the last three times, still doesn't work.

  • Got one! Thank you OP :)

  • Apparently I got one but nothing showing in my order history?

    Thanks! Your order was placed.
Estimated delivery: By Wed, 14 Aug
We got your order, and we're processing your payment.
You saved AU $190.00 on this purchase.

    • +1

Did not work then, I reckon it's BS for ebay to show that screen and ACCC should do something about it. Live chat don't help and just say the payment still processing, but it means your order failed and you aren't getting anything. If successful you will be able to 'view order details'

    • Same here happened to me

    • You've just timed it perfectly to receive a false-positive request. I've seen this before with the AirPod deal

    • How did you pay? I used paypal at 2pm (combination of paypal funds and VISA) and it showed up in paypal and ebay straight away

  • +3

I've made some progress, managed to add one to the shopping cart, will try to pay at 3pm. I'm confident, I don't need an external SSD!

    • +1

"Didn't need it. Bought one anyway" - true OzB spirit!

  • +7

There is something very wrong with this. It should be restricted to one purchaser per a person/account. For 100 units to be sold within 2 seconds suggests someone using bots to buy in bulk with a view to resell. I am a paid Plus member and cannot anywhere near clicking to buy. This is a joke and a waste of time.

    • Maybe the same bots that buy concert tickets from Ticketek

      • If you watch sneaker reseller on youtube, the technology they use to buy do not give a normal person a chance to buy. It will only get worse as time pass by.

    • +1

This post has 15,000 clicks… plenty of members here managing to purchase so either quicker than bots or just faster internet. As with the airpods, get it to cart by going to buy it now from the purchase history in a round, and then be ready next round. For confirm and pay.

    • +2

One round must be used to get the item in the cart by hitting Buy It Now. Enter code and required details and leave this page open. Periodically refresh it to keep cart session alive. One minute before the next hour comes around, start spamming the confirm and pay button- it should continue to show the 'no stock' message. You'll then get the first response delay, which is the 'seller made changes to item' message (this is just the stock being added). DO NOT stop spamming the confirm and pay button. Generally after the second delay, if successful, you'll get a checkout success page with estimated delivery date, but beware, you may time the request in a way that tricks the server into responding with a false-positive. If this happens, your purchase history will not show the item and you would have missed out. Really, it's all luck.

Edit: Make sure you device's clock is sync and get yourself on the best internet connection possible (the lower the latency/ping, the better).

      • The trouble is I do not even have a chance to hit "buy it now" button before it goes out of stock. I had tried for the 11am, 1pm and 2pm. Hope others within OzBargain get the loots. I have given up and now turn to enjoy watching this crazy show and comments.

        • Your internet can play quite a role this. To increase your odds with the Buy It Now stage, open another 'dummy item' in a new tab next to the promotional item. Ensure both are scrolled to the top (or same position). Hover your mouse over the Buy It Now button in the 'dummy item' tab, then press [Ctrl] + [Tab] or [Ctrl] + [Shift] + [Tab] to switch back to the promotional item tab. You now should have your mouse in the correct position for when the stock is added. Spam refresh and click once you see the Buy It Now button appear.

Apologies if you have a Mac, as I'm not familiar with the keys for tabbing through tabs.

    • Think about how many of us there are on this site alone who are gunning for stock each hour. Only 100 units per round - that's virtually nothing. OzBargainers are, in part, bots. We're trained purchasers.

You have to be there, be ready and be lucky your order pings the server in those correct seconds so you're not too early, and not just over the 100 in the queue.

If you intend to try again, good luck.

  • +2

Another fake promotion, I refreshed the page immediately at the exactly 2pm but 100 items were gone in 1 sec!!! how come you check out and pay in 1 sec??? It's impossible, not happy about this all, a complete waste of time.

    • +1

you are definitely correct, please give up now and stop clicking. Leave it to the real buyers

    • I was refreshing the page and it momentarily showed stock available, then it was out of stock. Purchase history indicates the last one was sold at 14:00:22 so it needs to be in the basket and coupon applied and all….

    • +1

Go to https://time.is and make sure your clock is correct.. Mine was out by 4 seconds… Difference between got or not..

      • Yup, I got one and mine is off by 2msec (NTP is my friend). That and I had the checkout page from my first try, including the applied code, so I only had to press "Confirm and pay".

  • I have had the item ready to purchase at $79 for the last four hours. Still failed every time.

But during that tiny 10 second window at the top of the hour, the fail message changes from 'the seller doesn’t have that many left' to 'seller has changed item description' or something. What does that mean, am I trying to buy an item that doesn't exist?

    • +2

      means theres hope

you only have 1-5 seconds though to do it all

    • as soon as it states:
"seller has changed item description", press the checkout button again - quickly - and you might get lucky.

    • People suggest using credit card as payment method will help, YMMV.

  • -2

i had multiple pages open ready for payment by having to only do one click. Still didn't get it. and now ebay closed my account as i created this today and signed up to plus today. Apparently they track your IP address and they said ive created a few accounts on this IP therefore they shut it down.

    • Good, stop trying to broden the deal!
      Your name should be Broden28

      • i just want one for me. Not trying to get multiple.

    • Screenshot?

    Training up for 3pm
    https://www.humanbenchmark.com/tests/reactiontime
    Down to 248ms so far…

    • +1

Damn, that's fast. Quickest I got was 255. Have you seen the clips of those chimps that can do it super quick?

    • First try 237, will this be enough?? :)

Scrap that, 216ms on third try, definitely this HDD is mine!!!

    • Damn, I got an average 330ms.
No way will I get my SSD :(

  • +2

Ahh you have got to be shi$3ing me… Finally got 1 in the 2pm slot by setting up a Parcel Collect location in Central Melbourne to just read that they've now included regional Vic…

    • Haha, at least you got it :).

      • Yeah true - would prefer not to have driven 4 hours return when they've now changed it….but end of the day i'm happy ;)

        • Did you use RapidClick?

          • @O O: Nah just opened 2 windows and kept cycling between them ;)

            • @urbancartel: Lucky you! Once I saw the blue Buy it now bottom, clicked on it, it no longer exist to me. 😥

        • I hope that 4 hour drive does not cost you more than $190…

    • At least you got one mate

    • Just got one at 14:00:13- in my order details and in the bidder list.
      And definitely in my orders.

    • I did the same exact thing! :(

  • I give up. Got another order confirmation at the 2pm slot but no email confirmation or paypal charge. eBay chat reps are saying the purchase does not exist in my purchase history and therefore did not occur. What a waste of time.

  • +2

Got it, while I used a mouse clicker I don't think you need a mouse clicker to do it due to the lag waiting for the button to go from blue to grey to blue again, just have to cross your fingers and keep clicking on 'confirm and pay'.

    • +1

I don't think you need a mouse clicker to do it due to the lag waiting for the button to go from blue to grey to blue again

Indeed. the mouse clicker has no bearing on success here. you'll only get one refresh anyway before they are all gone.

      Pure luck.

  • Any good deal on a type-c to type-c 3.1 cable to go with this?

    • +1

Comes with two cables, C to C, and C to A.

  • +1

I am on the confirm and pay screen from last hour and click the blue button in the next hour as soon as it hit 2pm, but said seller is changing the description and then click again said not enough quantity???? what a joke

    • +2

The change in description is most likely the seller editing the listing to add +100 units to stock. Don't stop clicking the Confirm and Pay button.

    • Spam the confirm and pay button until you see the successful checkout page. If it has gone through, it'll be in your purchase history. Your local internet latency can affect your chances, as request times are prolonged. Get yourself on the best connection you can.

    • Same

  • +1

Anyway to get the ' confrim and pay' button screen to show up again? My current page lost it

    • +1

      PayPal Transaction time 2:00:10.

      • luckyyyyyyy

      • Did you have to use the PLUSPARTY code or was it applied automatically?

        • you have to manually type it in.

          • @Kawaii: Thanks, I've been getting the "This code can't be applied to your order."error when trying.

          • +1

@Kawaii: or cut and paste it.

      • How did you do it?

        • click using scientific way.

          • @Kawaii: C'on. 🙏

            • +1

@O O: Fine, you can only click twice( not once not three times), once exactly on 2:00:00, it will tell you, some details have been changed, then, using another web browser which you previously opened for buying, then click that one, you will be able to buy.
Also, if your internet is faster enough, you can try after the first browser's blue button turn gray and turn blue again(because the first time purchase will show you 'details changed')
but it took 5 seconds for blue button to show again, but that would waste time.
( You got only 7 seconds but you are gonna be successful using my way of buying).

              • @Kawaii: Thanks, Got one rn

                • @worryroots: you're welcome. I just hope those people who complain that they don't get one go through all the comments.

    • What's the trick?
EDIT: i must have missed this trick?

      • see above comments.

      • +1

See WesleyNZ comments and DON'T pay by paypal. Key in the code and your credit card details so when next round open all you need to do is spam the Confirm & Pay button. That's how I nab mine !

        • Also worked for me this way with the CC rather than paypal … and use your mobile and leave it on the checkout screen then keep hitting submit submit submit from the minute before mark.

  • Some buyers have already started reselling them!

    https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/2990686874336701/

    • +2

Shall we pretend that we are unaware of this deal and harass him a little bit?:P

    • This is ridiculous, people who genuinely need miss out versus people buying for reselling.
Got crappy internet at work so no way this will ever work for me.

      • +1

I am using Mobile Network for this.

  • +1

    Here we go….
