  • Lowenbrau is a tasty drop.

    • Just remember it's an ab inbev product.

      • What does that mean?

Glenfiddich 21 Year Old at 40% is a worry.

      Why?

A quality whisky doesn't necessarily need to be cask strength. In fact, (IMHO) cask strengths tend to benefit from being 'opened up' with a dash of water anyway.

      ABV is quite irrelevant.

    • We are getting close to fathers day so there will be heaps of Whiskey deals popping up shortly.

Cheaper per can to buy a case of Asahi.

      That's almost always true

Not for most of the other beers in the OP.

Agree with Bowna, the Asahi is only a deal if you only want a 6 pack. I usually buy a case and it lasts me 6 weeks then I buy another so works out cheaper for me.

      • Not for member deals it isn't, 6 packs used to be cheaper than case price. Not impressed with offerings from Dan's anymore, too expensive and sick of the $1 extra tax for NSW. Members program started off great now barely worth bothering with.

Pretty good though if you just want one six pack, since the cans are 500mL and brewed in Japan unlike the 330mL bottles which are from China. Don't think I could ever get through a whole case solo (12L of beer) before they expired so decent 6 packs are nice.

  • I just bought a carton (4 six packs, not a normal carton) of Asahi 500ml cans for $66.99, save $42.97. Thanks OP. Almost just bought a carton of Carlton Dry for $45.95 until I saw the Asahi. Cheers
