    Sorry for long screenshot.

Amazing phone feature. Too bad you can't read anything. Needs more JPEG.

  • This old deal was better value, right?

These new Optus plans are sh!t

  • $30 with 49GB of data I will think about it

  • I think Optus have lost their direction. These new plans make no sense, especially after the recent awesome plans.

    • Personally, I never go with full service carriers, I just go with MVNOs like Kogan and Catch. Same network for a fraction of the price

      • Agreed!! I was really lookin to get the $50 on both of my SIM only plans. But Optus wants customers of 5 years leave!!

  • These plans are all a step backwards from their previous iterations so I'd be waiting for Optus to come to their senses. The $50 plan used to have 4GB for overseas use - the price has increased to $59 and overseas data reduced to 2GB. In May you could get this plan for $40 with 4GB of overseas use.

    • To be honest, I think Optus were testing the market's appetite for a high end plan with roaming as a standard feature vis-a-vis as an add-on.

      • Telstra removed it from their plans, Optus are just following suit.

    • Unfortunately now Telstra have published their new plans, there's no need for Optus or even Vodafone to be 'more' competitive, or discount existing plans if you compare them to Telstra's plans.

Plus, no imminent threat of the TPG+VHA merger means there won't be a serious competitor anytime soon.

  • bad deal for optus.. higher price with less value.
