      They require an email address, which they will send you some promo material every now and again, which they state, you can unsubscribe to at anytime.

      See attached for their statement. And asking for an email address (they let you can use a free account for this) so they can email you the link is fair enough, or have you found out something more sinister??

    I had this last year under similar promo (but using mcafee from my office, installed on colleque's laptop), by giving my spam hotmail address. But couldnt remember any emails from them since the initial download/license key.

    It is certainly a freebie that is well worth.
