I had been on the lookout for a good, decently-priced ultrawide monitor guaranteed to work with Team Green. I was going to purchase an Alienware AW3418DW last night but couldn't justify shelling out that much for it. I did some research this morning and came across this product.

This review had some very nice things to say about it given its price.

  • Kinda off topic, but I'd been meaning to share that when I purchased the Alienware from this post https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/458050, my shopback of $195 tracked and I received it the other day. So stoked.

  • +2

x34p is worth the extra $100 when on sale - ips panel tax

    • Yep, I was going to comment the same. You can also get the ACER IPS but freesync for the same price now too and it has basic HDR + the better colour compared to the X34P. The price on the Acer and LG appears to have dropped to make room for the new models coming in September. This mean that the AOC and other VA ultrawides should have a price adjustment to make them $100-$200 cheaper than they have been.

  • Hmmm, looking at the specs, I have to say I got a better deal a few weeks ago. 15% Ebay code got me an MSI MAG341CQ for $670.65 and this AOC has a better stand andG-Sync chip but my monitor is very close, has Freesync but is G-Sync supported, and it overclocks to 115hz.

Most importantly, you also get a FREE gaming chair! Until 18th August: https://au.msi.com/Promotion/Fastest-Growing-Gaming-Monitor from selected retailers (I bought from Computer Alliance).

  • Huh. The AG352UCG6 (120Hz) replaced the AG352UCG (100Hz) last year.

Either this is quite old stock, or else it's the current model and been accidentally mislabelled on eBay.

    That's a remarkably competitive price for a AG352UCG6. I'd probably pass if it's the older AG352UCG though.
