  • Thanks for the post could be a good deal but for me if it doesnt come with the EPL NO DEAL

    • What’s EPL

      • English Premier league

        • i have optus sports as part of my optus cable (for free) and to be honest i never ever use it so getting it yet again on a residential SIM plan is useless to me. much rather value roaming and intl calls included to zone 1 countries instead.

No EPL? Why is this even a deal!? EPL is $15…

    • No EPL = neg?

      • EPL = $15, so if this had EPL, it'd be $47, which is more expensive by almost 20%, and then this is a 24-month contract. I don't see how this is a deal, and how I am being negged? It's just facts.

        • +2

Some folks may value roaming + data over EPL though - $48 gets you 60GB and 5GB roaming, the closest consumer plans are currently $49 for 30GB and no roaming, or $59 for 80GB and 2GB roaming

          • @b3au: Basically optus sports comes with all contracted plans but for this business deal you dont get it. Access to optus sports without a plan is $15 pm so essentially it is a cheaper 'phone plan' when comparing it with other optus plans but it isnt a cheaper plan when you compare it to phone plans in the wider market.

Optus sports is something no other provider can provide data -roaming etc can all be found on rival networks

im not saying this isnt a bargin im just saying when you take away optus sports there isnt much of a reason to sign up with optus over its rivals - they do have optus perks as well tho

but it is a bit silly to offer 24-months no sports on a plan that isnt a whole lot cheaper then the 12months plans

i donno why Optus has all of a sudden become really expensive

Not really, now Telstra have pulled their plans, Optus are the only ones who offer 'free' roaming - Telstra charge $5/$10/day for a piddly allowance, and Vodafone charge $5/day to use your existing allowance.

Optus offers 'free' roaming provided you don't exceed your included data allowance and they are now the only carrier to do so.

This is of course a Business targeted plan, hence the requirement for an ABN/ACN :-)

i donno why Optus has all of a sudden become really expensive

Telstra have released their new plans, stripping away things like free roaming, raising the entry level price, and cutting data inclusions. Optus have realised they don't need to compete anywhere near as hard now, and with the VHA+TPG merger put on ice, there won't be any serious competition anytime soon.

  • Can it data share with data sims ?

    • Yes, though not sure if only for other business plans, or consumer ones as well.

  • How long you think the offer will be on for? It says until withdrawn

  • Good deal, can we sign up one service? Or there is minimum number of service?

    • -2

      6 to 150 employees

      • +1

im pretty sure u can put in an order for less than 6 and it'll go thru…

  • +1

2 months free for new services.

    Also states:

    Optus Sport
Optus Sport subscription optional at no extra charge.

    • $48 plan may have sports, the $32 doesnt. so yes.

      • Both plans say the same thing

  • nice deal. The second deal with the unlimited talk and sms and 5gb data Roaming is very generous. I got a business (ABN) account but normally sign with normal plans as it is usually cheaper … what you also get with a business account is better services, especially with account or connection issues.

  • Thanks, I'll look into this.

  • Don't go for 24m plans.
Even business can get consumer plans & still eligible for 10% extra discount from adding or recontracting each additional services and these plans are 12m.

  • what happens after the 24months?
does it divert back to $40pm or stays on the $32 a month?
