You’re not worth my time to respond to. Go and read countless of deals posted with this JB x Telstra

I have replied 16 times on this deal, 16 times on this deal, 17 times on this deal and a whopping 74 times on this deal and many more in past deals

A simple quick read and research goes a long way before negging and not understanding the deal…

How does your credit get affected ?

Pro Tip : I've done it, and had no adverse affects.

      • Can confirm I used this guide/trick to get a 512gb black Nothing (3) for a total of $1145.67, and on top of that was able to receive the preorder bonus $200 JB gift card (which thankfully doesn't expire) on pickup of the phone today. Unfortunately staff confirmed the trade-in bonus deal of another $200 off does not apply when using the phone plan voucher deal (though the tradein value of an old device would, since that's just money in your account).

I was initially a little anxious since the terms and conditions listed below for the deal seemed a bit different this time and seemed to imply the base voucher value of $800 in the CIS/Terms & Conditions would be replaced by the full $1400 actual voucher value (meaning I'd effectively be paying full price for the phone), but it doesn't specify that the Max Voucher Repayment value changes from $800 to $1400 which put my mind at ease so I pulled the trigger, and when the final Telstra cancellation fee/voucher repayment invoice came through it was only the expected $766.67. Thanks for the heads up BargainsGrabber!

Terms & conditions this time around for posterity:

◊ Available to port-in mobile service(excluding JB Upfront/Prepaid, The Good Guys Mobile & Broadband, Telstra & Boost) customers only. The $1400 off the current ticketed price of a Nothing Phone (3)(referred to as the “JB Hi-Fi Voucher” in the Telstra Terms and Conditions available at www.telstra.com.au/jbhifi-mobile-terms) replaces the dollar value of the Voucher in the Critical Information Summary and will be applied to the purchase price of the Nothing Phone (3) instore after connection approval by Telstra. If you cancel or move to a lower cost/different plan then you must pay a Voucher Repayment Fee to Telstra pro-rated against the remaining months of your plan’s minimum term. This offer is not available in conjunction with any other JB Hi-Fi mobile or broadband offer or Trade-In coupon offer and is limited to 3 connections per customer. Excludes Nothing Phone (3a). ‡ Speeds may vary due to various factors such as location, hardware and network congestion. If you exceed your data allowance, your speed will be capped at 1.5Mbps. Speed is slowed further in busy periods.

      You must be new here.

  • I’ve got 4 sim cards for $95.

JB SIM plan is way overpriced!!!

  • wait, wasnt Nothing a budget brand? 0 reason to get this over the S25 Ultra

    • Have you read the post?

        That never happens 😡

Comment first. Think later never 😂

        • I got my S25 for 526, from JB. Salesman even helped me through the process. I asked "If I were to cancel, would I only pay 550 i total?" and he said "yes you would, as stated here"

Did they have to make that camera array so ugly?

I get that they did it on purpose, but ugly on purpose is still ugly

  • I assume its a no, but there isnt a 100W charger included in the box is there?

    • it’s max charging speed is 65W on paper, so i don’t believe it would come with one.

      • Oh right, gsmarena lists 100W wired…

This phone is not worth it in my opinoon, it’s using outdated LTPS OLED, albeit dpi as iPhone Retina, budget Gorilla Glass, ‘Budget’ SOC that’s at least a generation behind in performance compared to SD Elite, just get anything else, I find that the ‘Nothing’ and CMF brand aren’t much cheaper than Oppo competitors (the ceo of nothing is an ex Oppo employee) Honestly get a Find X

    • There are no Find X8 Pro deals under $1000 with a bonus $200 gift card and bonus $200 off with a trade-in.

    Its a phone about nothing.

    • +1

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

I like Nothing Phones. I wish you could change the operating system. It is stuck on Google Android.

You got nothing I want, you got nothing I need…

  • Optus is doing a 36 month plan on this phone and will give the new headphones for free

  • hey man i haven't done this before i might need some extra advice/help with the steps and what i get out of it again please.

    • so go in sign up and pay $109 for upfront for the phone and $99 for the first month of the 24month plan with telstra.
    • i receive $200 gift vouncher from jb hi fi since i got as a pre-order
    • i probably don't receive the phone yet until it comes out but when i do and pick it up. i cancel the plan via telstra or jb hi fi app and pay the upfront fee?

now im confuse, how much is the upfront fee and i get to keep the $200 voucher right?

    • +3

      Upfront fee is $99 + $109
You’d also need to pay the ETC which equates to $766.59

      • im gonna go in tomorrow and check, but i did their online trade in and it says $325, how would that work ?

        • im going to do it sometime this week too. if you done it already, how did it go?

    • My understanding is the trade-in bonus can’t be used toward the phone, so you’d pay $109 upfront, $99 for the first month, and a $766.59 early termination fee which totals to $975. With the $200 JB gift card for pre-ordering, that effectively brings it down to $775.

  • i had a pair of nothing premium headphones that stopped working after 3 months, i submitted warranty and they sent me the cheapest version as a replacement…..they lasted no longer than 6 months. will never purchase from this nothing brand ever again….dodgy

I had the Ear (1) earphones too (I think that was the name - first gen).
Sounded nice, looked amazing (IMO). Stopped working after a firmware update. Support didn't solve my problem.
I never bought anything from them again.

  • This is a great deal, however 3a was $500 on Amazon german import last week??? Please suggest!!!

  • Save $1400

when a ‘self-proclaimed’ budget Nothing phone inches itself towards an ‘iPhone/ Pixel’ pricing status… 🤦‍♂️🙈🤦🤦‍♀️

    • They kind of started as budget, and now I think they want to position themselves more as unique-looking design. I've watched a video about their design process, it's pretty cool (even though it's not for everyone).
So now they have CMF as their actual budget brand, with Nothing being midrange to premium I guess 🤷

Having said that, I had issues with their earphones, and I will likely not buy from them ever again.

  • This probably will be the same price as Samsung Z Flip 7 which will be released next week which I think is a much better choice

  • So if I were to cancel JB plan, could I use the $400 gift card to repay a portion of ETC? Or would I have to use that gift card for some other purchase?

Because initially I would pay 1509-1400=109, so I cannot use a $400 gift card for that. Any help with this would be much appreciated. Thanks!!

Edit : I want to trade in my galaxy s23 128GB which is valued at $335. It looks like I will have to pay ETC by debit/credit card and would be left with a bunch of gift cards. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

    • No, the ETC is paid directly to Telstra. You can't use a JB GC for that.

    • have you done it yet?
i went into jb hi fi today (didn't sign up yet) but got the jb hi fi mobile upfront plans critical information summary.
Maximum voucher repayment fee is $800. probably will sign up this thursday or friday

      • No, I have decided to wait for a sale on Pixel 9s as Pixel 10 comes out in August.

  • Unlike most people I do like the look of this phone, just know the value isn't there in terms of components but I think sub 1k is a fair price for it. If I do the JB HIFI trick, just want to confirm there isn't any other unforeseen issues/consequences?
