I just want to point out that CAT is taking any small company with the word Cat in their name in anyway to court for trademark violations and forcing them to change their business name and pay expensive court fees which is an extremely shitty practice and unnecessary. And it seems like they are doing this because of their clothing and merch business.

In short (profanity) CAT and find a jacket from a proper clothing company.

I also want to point out. The CAT company has every right to sue the pants off those scabs trying to use the name to gain their own advantage by using that brand. Why do you think its ok for the small company to use the name without the rights.

Probably because it's a cafe in America called the 'Cat and Cloud Coffee' which has no resemblence to CATERPILLAR at all nor do they compete in the same markets.

https://catandcloud.com - This doesn't seem like 'scabs' leeching off the CATERPILLAR brand to be honest.

Having said that, I do agree they're entitled to protect their trademark and failing to do so can mean they lose it. I do think the patent system itself is broken though.

Full disclosure: I actually really like CATERPILLAR shoes and clothing and have been wearing them for years.

Good onya for standing up for corporate right of aggression. Too few people acknowledge their underdog status these days.

        You’re a free-thinker and a corporate comrade, no question.

Nobody is trying to use their brand?

They don't want anybody to have the word cat anywhere in their name. They sent their lawyers to youtube channel Keyboardcat for selling keyboardcat shirts. Nobody is confusing keyboardcat with CAT the multi billion dollar farming machine company likewise with cat and cloud the coffee company that has a blue logo with a cat and a cloud in it not a yellow upper case CAT anywhere to be seen and CAT is for caterpillar anyway.

$135 for a jacket is way too overpriced. It's just polyester and nylon.
