    Normally $109 for 2?

"Now all this is would usually set you back $109". Since when 2 main and rice and desserts for Thai cost more than $100?

    Negative for me.

Check out their menu for their prices ktks :) These Thai restaurants aren't just any normal Thai restaurants!

These kind of deals are getting ridiculous. The coupon price is what it is actually worth and the supposed savings are based on bogus prices that no sane person would ever pay in the 1st place. Not to mention you get 2nd rate service and portions because u must let them know that u are a 2nd class coupon user. I much prefer to just go to places which are decent value then go through this BS system.

Their prices are on their website, and in their in-store menu. These are very upmarket, classy restaurants harthagan :)

We wouldn't list a deal that wasn't good value. We also negotiate with restaurants to ensure Qoopon users are never discriminated against unlike other group buy websites. We've all had bad experiences with other group buy sites where you get the 2nd rate service because you're using a voucher. With Qoop, we make sure that never happens.

If you're ever not happy with a Qoopon, we'll give you your money back.

Most thai restaurants have mains from $12 and desserts and entrees from $5. It would be darn near impossible for 2 people to rack up a bill of $60 on a main, entree and dessert… let alone $109.

I completely agree with you. "Most" Thai restaurants are priced differently. I think your comment is unfair to the restaurant though.
You have to realise that this isn't just any normal Thai restaurant. It's like comparing a Hyundai to a Mercedes.

What a load of Mod: Foul Language, such a rip off.

I go to Gordon Thai and get awesome thai, main meals for about $10 each standard price, unlimited rice for $2 and at the end free chocolates and oranges. This is a rip off!!

You're comparing a restaurant in Gordon to a restaurant in Surry Hills - but i do get your point. Thanks for the feedback.

    Calm down guys…
I don't believe a negative is warranted just because you can get Thai food for cheaper elsewhere…
Of course you can get cheap Thai, just like you can get $10 pub steaks and cheap (insert cuisine here)… but shmancy places exist and do business and (usually) serve good food. The saving is a saving off what you would pay had you walked in with no coupon or scoopon or qoopon or whatever you want to call it. Legit deal.
I stand by what I say even though I personally prefer getting $6.50 Thai at Newtown near Sydney Uni over any shmancy Thai place I've been to. No one is forcing you to buy this deal.

$39 for 2 people at a FANCY Thai place is not that bad really. Just under $20/head for some class isn't that bad.
But I myself would also pick a cheap place…

But I agree that many group buy sites use inflated prices to show potential savings made. I don't see how it would be $109 normally either, even after looking at the menu.

  • I've seen Mains go up to 30 dollars and desserts 15 dollars.

    2 x mains at 30 = 60
    2 x desserts at 15 = 30

    rice err 2 x $2.50 = 5

95…. well it must be exceptional thai then!!!

But i agree with most of the negs.. thai food is so cheap..

    • +1

Okay i just had a look at the finers details and i realised they have a location in parramatta.
Im also not happy that you cant order any seafood mains or chef recommendations..

The most expensive main is $20 and the dessert of the day is obviously at the managers discretion and can be anything.
At most the RRP of this deal is $80..

And it's not that classy.. there are 101 thai places like this.

      You missed the entree!

Rort! A FULL 3 courses meal where you share an entree, and all adds up to $109.

At this Thai restaurant I would expect a happy ending for this price!

This is the one closest to me. Check this current dinner menu out http://sitneyrestaurant.com/Dinner.html
