    No details of ‘refurbishment’ on site, so likely this seller is misusing the term… this is just straight up used.

        I think your missing his/her point. Sure the site says refurbished, but does not elaborate on what was done to refurbish the unit. Ie has it been tested and repaired back to original by dell or just plugged in and tested by the seller.

    Just keep in mind that these monitors are pretty old - Dell's naming schema is LSSYY, where L is the product line (i.e. Pro), SS is the Size, and YY is the Year. So this is a screen from 2014!

      Correct, I am currently typing this on a computer with a U2414H, so same vintage. Picked it up from the Dell Outlet refurbished 3 years ago. Never faltered but last year I picked up a U2417H. Might repeat the pattern! But for a '14 monitor in '19, weigh the risk.

          No, not much at all, only that the screen controls in the bottom right corner were updated to be smaller/lower profile and so reducing the bottom bezel. Makes it slightly irritating because then the bezels look out of whack. The stand I preferred on the '14 model but that is personal preference (slot instead of hole and higher up the stand). The screen themselves look identical in use.

    I purchased two of these off gumtree from an office clearing their old screens. Was looking for a monitor that can easily be used in portrait orientation. Quite happy with it. But yeah, check your local listing's as these seem to be popular screens supplied to dell business customers
