Won't recommend Evo plus 512gb. The write speed is too slow. Better grab one with 100mb/s instead of 20mb/s.

    • Isn't it 80mb/s?

StorageReview of Samsung microSDXC EVO Plus Memory Card Review (512GB) suggests otherwise:

In our BlackMagic test it was able to its 90.3MB/s read and 77.8MB/s write. In our Windows testing for 2MB the microSD hit 94.4MB/s read and 82.1MB/s write in 2MB sequential, and 75.5MB/s read and 52.7MB/s write in 2MB random. For 4K ransom throughput the microSD card was able to hit 2,991 IOPS read and 808 IOPS write.

Having said that I'm a little disappointed that speeds haven't increased with higher capacities.

    $31.88 for 128gb
Damn these prices just drop so fast now.

Each time I see a deal like this, I have to resist and remind myself that in six months this will be the standard price in 6 months.

Trick is to buy them when you need them. Not the OzBargain way tho, so you may be frowned upon for doing so.

    • Keep an eye out on Joybuy, which had these for $29 not too long ago.

    • Paid 26 each for mine a while back so 31.88 isnt so good..Actually to the dh who put a minus i paid 57.69 for 3 of them that was with voucher codes though at shopping express. And more recently through apus auction i got 4 for $105.44 delivered with voucher.

      • Dunno why you got downvoted, what you say is spot on. Prices for the 128GB EVO Plus have been lower than $31.88 for a long time now.

    • Are they good for gopro?

      • yep. 128gb is around the max that you should get for the gopro.
Most times over that theres issues with the microSD card and gopro.

      Ask and ye shall receive.

      • This battle for the bargains on microsd cards is unreal.

  • This would be the next ideal storage/speed when the price drop.

  • Hard to get excited about 512GB for 3 figures …

  • Looks good.

  • 512 will hit sub 100 soon

  • Ironically found the same for $49.90 https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Brand-New-Samsung-EVO-Plus-512GB… but last one to grab.

    • And for $59 for 512 GB https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/New-Samsung-Evo-Plus-512GB-Micro…

But there's a ~$50-60 trending price for these 521 GB (packaged) cards.

And most, if not all, of these cheap versions seem to come from low volume sellers (in single digits or so).

While the rest (most) of the 512 GB capacity ones are trending around $150

I wonder if the ones selling for ~$50 are fake.

I mean given the price, there's a good chance, no?
