        Can you please recommend a few toilet models that these seats fit on then? They are quite long and dont seem to fit any toilets we have looked at (including our current toilet).

          Please confirm the suitability of your toilet bowl by checking its measurements.. I used two whale spout at home and it fit, you can measure diffrent brand of the toilet suite at bunnings.

      i think its been said before that the app just controls the settings like temperature etc… theres buttons on the toilet seat itself which you can see in the video posted in the description.

    We are building a house and plan on buying these (although I like the older model more with the controls on a panel) in the future.

    What side is the water inlet and power cable on. Will impact on where I put the tap and power point in my house.

    I'm tempted to buy this, but have a few questions.

    • How long is the warranty? Is there even a warranty?

    • How long is the included power cord?

    • Can the rear buttons perform all the same functions that are set via the app?

    • Does manual app set-up need to be completed again each the toilet seat is unplugged or after a power failure?

    • If multiple people regularly use the toilet seat, can individual temperature/flow rate/position be adjusted with the buttons, or does each person need to use the app to load their own preferred settings?

    • Can the app function without logging in to a Chinese server? Or will the Chinese government now keep a record of every time I take a dump? Can settings be changed without an active internet connection?

    • Will the toilet seat stop working completely when the website and app become unsupported, or if the internet connection fails?

    • Ignoring the Australian standards compliance, why is this better than the non-WiFi version that can be purchased on eBay for ~$230? More complexity means more things to break.

    This isn't a criticism of OP, the main reason I'm even considering this purchase is the effort OP has put into this post and replies; but the thought of using a mobile phone to control my toilet seat - even just for setup - disgusts me. Why bother with this when all the functionality can be accomplished with a small control panel? I might be far better off with the cheaper non-WiFi version.

    Having manual buttons located behind the seat seems like something only an idiotic German design company that values style over function might give an award to. Looking through previous winners of the German iF Design Awards, you wonder if sometimes they really are deliberately taking the piss just for a laugh. I've had to maintain some of this garbage over the years for various clients who have more money than sense, and it's tragic how much functionality they give up just to have something look more 'sleek'. I actually own some of the items that won awards, only because they were given to me by people who couldn't figure out how the $%#@ to use them because the buttons to make them operate are hidden, invisible, or non-existant and ended up just being far too much trouble that they were worth:

    you do not need to set up again unless you want to reset the device.

    If multiple people regularly use the toilet seat, can individual temperature/flow rate/position be adjusted with the buttons,

    or does each person need to use the app to load their own preferred settings? You can share device by app, so everyone can set
    up their own preference. You can use most of feature by side control button.

    Will the toilet seat stop working completely when the website and app become unsupported, or if the internet connection fails?

    You can use most of function without app, instruction will show how to do it.

        I had a 2nd plumber out and he refused to quote as he said it's not Aus certified. We had not seen this comment but is there any particular reason why you don't have this marked on the seat with a sticker or even on the box?

    Is it just me, or is the term 'whale spout' mildly terrifying when used in the context of a bidet/toilet seat? I mean, how much water pressure does this thing have, to warrant such a likeness?!
