    1800 rrp? Drreeeaaammmin

    • Maybe when it released…. in 2017.

2007's a better match for this processing power and price.

        • -2

Uh no. That's before i5s were even released, this is the 8th generation.

          • -1

@ssquid: processing power for $1.8k, not exact model.

            • -1

@xrailgun: Your point? Nothing in 2007 would come close to the processing power of this machine, especially for only $1.8k.

    4GB RAM?

    • +2

DOA on Windows 10. Should be running 8GB minimum spec.

lmao this is 100% a rip off, just get a techfast pc instead

  • +2

Agreed my friends 100% rip off WHAT NO SSD.RRP price is BS.

    HP. No Deal. Boycott

    • Care to explain the boycott?

      • +4

Everything in their "August Price Blitz" sale has been price-jacked to compensate the discounts offered. On the first day they forgot to increase the prices so the discounts looked very good, but any orders made got cancelled.

      • Where have you been?

  • +2

I thought the photo was the back of a new HP phone!? I’d pay the asking price for a phone with those specs lol

I’d pay the asking price for a phone with those specs lol

It would have like a 30 minute battery life and in a phone form-factor, be actively trying to melt your hand/face off.

Who would have thought the laptop form factor would be cheaper (generally) than a tower/desktop form factor…I am still living in the 1990s era where my 486 DX2-66 with 4MB RAM, 85MB hard disk, 16Bit Soundblaster Pro, CD-ROM, 17” XGA was the envy of my classmates. Lol… and my $700 Canon Bubblejet!

  • Or buy one of the very good deals on refurbished PCs on eBay. Fraction of this price with more RAM, SSD included (or cheaply upgradable yourself) and with decent i7 CPUs.
No snob power of being the latest version of Intel processor going on my path though - this hasn't detered me at all from upgrading my house's fleet of 4 PCs with ex-lease units.

    • Plus most of the ex-lease machines come with win10 Pro instead of Home.
This isn't current tech either - it's gen 8 with gen 10 just coming out now.

      • Exactly ssquid.
Can do much better for much less money.

Not great deal when compared with this HP previous post -

  • Friends, on the specs of this pc, Im pretty sure youd be better off using the integrated graphics in most cases.
