Just be aware the hinsense apps are hardly ever updated. Ive got a 55" 4k Hisense and the freeview is very clunky.
Not had one update in 2 years
    Netflix works fine.
I mainly use my Chromecast nowdays to get around issues.
Netflix is about the only good app with it!

If you need ivuew, sbs, 7,9, 10 streaming apps stick with Samsung

In general assume that the TV apps will gradually die off as the world changes.

You are better off if you have Android TV, since its a bigger market and the apps are more likely to be maintained.

Better still, make sure the smarts are in an external box, that can be changed.

That's why the golden rule of buying a telly is screen first, sound second, smarts last

    • You need to request firmware updates directly from Hisense. Annoying and archaic but there might be an update for your TV.

120 postage to Perth kind of kills it as a deal for me

  • Welcome to OzBargain op and awesome first time post!

  • Hi all,

Any comments between 65R7 and 65R6 or even 75R6? Trying to decide - any advice would be appreciated :)

75R6 is $1504 + postage so similar in price.

  • Deciding between samsung series 7 65", hisense 65R6 or 65R7.
    Any suggestions people?

    • I was looking at the same TVs last year, well the 2018 models, Hisense P6 and P7.
I got the Hisense series 7 for $1300, 65P7, very happy with the TV.
The Hisense series 7 reviews score better than Samsung series 7 TVs.
