Just an FYI, you may want to clarify if the Windows 10 is the Home or Pro edition. Also, are upgrades available (if so, how much) - eg upgrade to 16GB RAM, etc.

    • +2

      Hi Syba,
We aren't currently offering this upgrade due to the current prices of RAM due to the AU dollar. We are only holding low levels of RAM because of this to avoid getting stuck with high priced kits. This is why we have made the decision to not offer the upgrade until our next round of PCs.

      OP

      • +2

So… since you didn't clarify, guessing it is Win10 Home?

        • +1

          Of course at this price

        • +2

From the simple wording, I'd say it's just a windows 10 copy without activation. You have to pay to upgrade to the paid version

          • +1

@thunderz: If it’s not activated at this price then definitely bad deal

  • +1

Clock speed is 4.1GHz "boosted". What is the standard speed?

    • +1

3GHz. But what does that tell you? Nothing. The CPU is plenty fast on benchmarks.

  • Has anyone used them before? Looks to be a sole trader not currently registered for GST.

    • +3

      Hi Peter,
We have been operating since September,
As we haven't gone over the 75K mark yet due to a variety of methods we haven't registered. We are prepared to when we need to though as this will certainly happen this year. We are also working on migrating into a company.

      • does this have hdmi?

        • +1

          Hi Supatight,
The board has 1 HDMI port and 1 VGA output

          OP

      • Best of luck

    • Buy your own. This price is great for what it had

      • Would be cheaper getting a tech fast gaming PC then this + graphics card.

        • Perhaps.
Not everyone plays games though, so still a solid machine for general computing

          • +1

@Salmando: There are cheaper options for general computing like those refurb optiplexes

            • +2

@MuddyClear: this takes full sizes cards and has std power supply unlike some of the small form factor refurbs.

              • +2

@garage sale: then doesnt that kind of defeat the purpose?

            • @MuddyClear: reasonable difference beween new and referb though, with new warranty.

              • @wisc: Optiplex refurbs with warranty on their new ssds is enough for me

                • +1

@MuddyClear: Yeah, optiplex are pretty good, as i've said before im a fanboi, but not really worth it for gaming once you take into account the graphics card and purchase price, may as well just buy a 500 dollar PC which will out perform it.

        • +1

This has name brand components though instead of Allied/Leader.

  • +1

    What brand/model power supply?
And one 8gb stick of ram or 2*4gb?

This seems like a user adding, what is today, a pretty low-end graphics card would get you a solid 1080p gaming setup.

    • That made no sense

      • After reading it 3 times I got what he meant, but yeah needed some structuring

      • +14

They're saying the US-China trade war is a threat to global growth especially in circumstances where central banks are limited in terms of monetary policy.

        Cheers.

      • +2

What brand/model is the power supply?

And does it have one single 8GB stick of ram, or two 4GB sticks to make 8GB? (some people are pedantic about this, I'm not sure there's a noticeable difference)

If a user added a low-end graphics card to this PC they would get a solid 1080p gaming setup.

        • Hi Andard,

PSUs vary as stock is spread, hence no specifics,
It is a single stick of DDR4 as 2 x 4 GB kits are hard to get hold of for us atm and cost more,

          OP

        • The main concern is presuming there are only two slots for RAM, if they're both filled by 24GB sticks you'd need to replace both with 28GB to get 16GB of RAM, as opposed to purchasing just one to run in pair with the exisiting if it is 1*8GB. Quite a valid question.

  • Hi Op, any good deals on higher end models? Like i7 or i9 or 3800x or 3900x?

    • Hi Congo,
We are finishing a build with an i7 8700, Water Cooled 1070ti, 16GB DDR4, Z370 board, Deepcool Matrexx 70 Add RGB Case, 480GB SSD and an 80+ Bronze power supply.
Feel free to direct message us if you're interested,

      OP

      • If your doing those specs why not include a hard drive also. Pc gamers have steam, steam is huge… Ut takes up 2tb of my 4tb drive o.o

        • +1

          Hi Seedy,
We haven't included a hard drive as this model is targeted for general use, we have included a 240GB SSD as this should be able to adiquetly store files and programs.
We have specified that it can be easily turned into a gaming pc though,
As SSDs are more reliable and are faster, it allows for faster boot times and less chance for drive failure,
As stated above, we aren't including upgrades this time around due to the AU Dollar,

If you would like to add the above, we can give you a quote via direct message,

          OP

          • +2

@CGB Solutions: Water cooled 1070ti and RGB sounds more gamer-oriented than general use..

          • @CGB Solutions: Im still runnin my ddr3 rig not upgrading for 18 months likely. I had ment a hdd + the ssd. Steam is online games so putting them on a ssd has very small effect, hence a hdd for steam and music nd movies ect.

      • What will thr price on this be?

  • +1

That's a good price, I don't think I could build it for that price cost

  • What version of Windows? Is it activated?

    • Windows 10 Home inactivated

  • What would be the best GPU to pair with this system? A 1660 or 1070? What would bottleneck the system?

    Hmmmmmmmmmm…

  • Hi OP,
Do have smaller mini case for this spec, thanks

    • Hi Tinkko,
The smallest cases we currently have on hand are Micro ATX,
The board inside though is an ASUS PRIME H310M-E R2.0 which is a Micro ATX board,
If you would like this build in a smaller case we can give you a custom quote via direct message if you're able to specify the case etc,

      OP

  • Anything Mid/high rage for AMD?

with all the benchmarks i seriously dont get why would one get intel in this generation of processors.

    • This product is an 8th gen Intel processor, which is now 2 generations old. They're selling off superseded stock at a reduced price.

      Hi Figlia,

Due to fluctuating prices of stock at the moment we are working with what we can get a hold of at a competitive price to be able to bring you deals like this,

We are working with our supply chain closely to achieve this,

Any suggestions for what you would like to see in the future builds is helpful as we will try to cater to demand,

Who buys hot, power hungry and overpriced intel trash these days?

    • crazy! … sounds something an Orc would use! .. :P

  • Do u guys have a warehouse or somewhere to pickup as $15 on shipping is a bit dear on more smaller stuff

    • Hi Bargain,
We are located on the Mornington Peninsula in Melbourne,
Shipping is flat $15 due to items weight and dimensions.
This is a flat rate AU wide,
Our standard shipping is $9 for products under 3KG, as this exceeds this weight it's bumped up to the next shipping category.
