  There's almost no need for this intrusive software in 2019, even for under $30. Windows 10's own firewall and antivirus does a decent job, and it's already included, and is not full of 3rd party "addons".

  Norton security offers excellent protection which is light on system resources. That said if you are running Windows 10 and are reasonably careful about what you click, then Windows Defender is more than enough:

  While most Tech Savvy users don't really need this today if you are careful and running Win10, it has saved my folks multiple times when they have drifted into less reputable parts of the internet.

  For those that say it's best to stick with Windows Defender, a lot of Windows 10 users find that it slows down their computers at times. In which case, it's a very good idea to replace it with a third party antivirus, such as Norton. Norton is one of the lighter antiviruses and shouldn't cause much of impact on performance, so it is a good alternative to Windows Defender.

  Windows defender + Ublock Origin + Malware bytes free for the occasional scan is 99% this is sometimes better.
