Aiwa 50” 4K TV $399 @ Target (in Store)

200

Decent price on a 50” 4K entry level TV. Has smart TV and some other bells and whistles.

In store only it seems. Not sure if nation wide. This was in Melbourne.

    Aiwa, that's a brand I haven't seen in decades

Another one of those brands which have been sold off and being used just as a "badge" on crappy TVs. Like JVC (TV), Hitachi, Teac etc.

Yep. They were owned by Sony at one stage, and I have a micro-stereo at home (with DVD, optical out, fan-cooling and all) that is basically like the fantastic micro-systems Sony used to make, just with an Aiwa batch. Speakers even say they were manufactured by Sony. But they got sold off after that.

Looks like they're doing the Soniq 50" Chromecast version for $429: https://www.target.com.au/p/soniq-5-uhd-chromecast-tv/627842…

I can't put my Van Halen cassette in this. Pass.

    • I can't watch 55 (inches, as it's only 50" )

  • Target Forest Hill had a 55 inch Platinum 4K tele for 200 the other week. Clearance on teles seems to be going on at them all, just gonna have to check for stock at your local. Some proper good deals out there here and there.

  • Aiwa used to be top brand comparable to SONY.

  • 8K TV is coming to a standard now.
