Meat Church BBQ Rubs - $21.95 each (Buy 2 Get 1 Free) @ Barbecues Galore (in-Store Only)

70

Have seen these Meat Church rubs getting some great reviews online. Cheapest I could find a few days back was $19.95 each at FireBrand, BBQ Spit Rotisseries etc.

Barbecues Galore didn't have these rubs listed online so I was quite pleasantly surprised to find them in-store in Barbecues Galore in Castle Hill, NSW (not sure if available in other branches — best to ring them up). Costs $2 more per bottle but with the Buy 2 Get 1 Free promotion, it's a great deal, IMO.

  • I got really into smoking a few years back and was sick of making my own rubs (and premade ones didnt exist locally at the time) so bought 7 pounds of Butt rub from the States. I've still got heaps left

Pretty easy to make your own basic rub. These are really good though, even though a bit on the pricey side.

    • I made my first rub yesterday for pork ribs.

      ⅛ cup smoked paprika
      ⅛ cup sweet paprika
      1 tablespoon garlic powder
      1 teaspoon cumin
      2 tablespoons ground black pepper
      5 teaspoons dark brown sugar
      1 tablespoon salt

Cooked the ribs wrapped in foil for about 3 hours at 150•C. I made my own sticky bbq sauce too, coated the ribs and cooked for another 10-15 at a higher temp. Best ribs ever. I have leftover rub I'm gonna use with chicken nibbles
