Great tv too, but I have a 50 inch tv in the bedroom and it's maybe 5 inches too wide.

I think the 50" would make a great living room tv (possibly a smaller living room, since 55" seems to be the sweetspot there).

just posting if anyone needed 50" .. agree 43" good bedroom size

        • +3

Yeah mate, wasn't knocking it, just sharing my experience with a 50 inch tv in the bedroom (I thought I could pull it off, but it's too big imho).

And you don't know just how big the screen is, untill you're actually lying in front of it lol.

          • @BooYa: Too big? Bedroom? Sharing experience? Pull it off?

Nah there's no jokes here, carry on!

@XeKToReX: Lol, no, I think 43 is a perfect size for a bedroom unit.

Nvm, I just got it lmao

@XeKToReX: lol yeah one would think we are talking about BBC

        • What I'm really kicking myself for, is missing out on the 50 inch Samsung for about $750 delivered (out of stock) https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Samsung-50-UA50RU7100W-Series-7-…

I have the same size 6 series, and absolutely love it.

      • Dear friend why would you need a TV in bedroom! Only if you are single-single or happily married for a long long time or both like to watch excitatory videos to wake up Androgens and Estrogens.

        • +1

Don't most people have a small tv in their bedrooms, or is it just me?

Full disclosure: single-single here (and very happily so).

Ps. I can't even fall asleep without the tv on, with the volume down, tuned into some monotonous documentary, or something equally sleep-inducing.

Hmm this is tempting. It's the size i want, 4k, great brand and importantly, it has a stand in the centre instead of the two ones on either end. The thing is i only really need a 4k tv upgrade when the next xbox comes out which wont be for 14 months or so, so perhaps i should wait till then, surely prices will be even lower then hey ?

    • +1

Won’t be much lower but will be new 2020 model by then around $600-$650 range when on sale

    • Probably.

The 6 series 50" Samsung I got last year for just under a grand, is now $750 for the 7 series.

Unless the quality is worse than the 6 series, that's a great price.

I love the LG user interface (point and click) but with Samsung tv I can mirror everything from my Samsung phone to my Samsung tv, literally everything.

It's called Smart View on the phone. I'm not sure if it's only Samsung to Samsung compatible, but that's one of the features I like, and it's iffy on many phone-tv combinations.

  • Looks like the deal has expired, and the Vide Pro eBay page no longer displays the PAPA20 promotion.

But, Appliance Central eBay still does. I'm not sure if you can still actually use it though.
