First time poster, I've been looking for a decent Mesh Wi-fi option for a while now. Been testing it out at home for the last week and the coverage has been great.

The beacon doesn't seem to be getting much marketing or publicity it's hard to find reviews out there for it. But the AC3000 and 4x4 MU-MIMO it seems to be at the higher end of Mesh systems available

Thanks…not sure who would want access points like that doesn't look to user friendly to me but whatever floats your boat

      • The boat floats very well with unifi

      • Not sure who would want a stable and up-date access points with firmware updates.

So how do we know if it's any good before actually dropping $400+ on it? Just because it's cheaper based on specs doesn't mean it's better in real life performance for the price.

  • Is nokia still around?

    • Yea they pretty much are responsible for most of the 5g technology that is rolling out in Australia

      https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nokia

Nokia is just a pitifully small company with a reported revenue of €22.56 billion in 2018 employing 103,083 people. It made a loss of €549 million in 2018 so it won't exist for much longer. Nokia should just stick to making toilet papers and leave Wi-Fi networking to the big boys.

I'd be worried buying this that security will be lacking

        Rubber tyres

  • You want to look for good companies that release security patches as soon as they released
