        • It's the Parkside plaza store, they gave it a new name.

@Ananvi: Awesome… Parkside was what I meant when I said Southside.

            Damn…. no more in stock.

    Folks!

Long time lurker - Just signed up to post some info as I just bought this.

    • Bought it from Coles located at Hurstville train station. Coles Roselands & Hurstville mall outta stock.

    • As someone mentioned before, it is indeed Vodafone Pocket WiFi 4G NOT "4G 2".

    • Device appears to be unlocked and could be used with other SIM card. Matter of fact, I'm currently using "KOGAN" sim without a problem. Remember, KOGAN uses Vodafone network so I can't guarantee that it will work with every other SIM card. Maybe someone with more knowledge of this can shed light on it.

    • Vodafone SIM card accompanying this package has $30 written on it but I don't know how much data I am going to get when I activate that SIM card. Will update when I do :)

    Cheers

      I got 10gig for 30 days

Brilliant. Did you activate the is card as 'Data Only" or as a standard SIM card?

Thinking of switching my number over to this SIM card as my plan with KOGAN is ending in couple of days.

        • data only

          • @unifex: Hmm, you would have got texts as well as a phone;-)

    • How much stock was there at Hurstville Train Station? Planning to buy one soon

      • +2

Not exactly sure how much they had but it looked like 3 or 4 boxes.

They weren't marked down to $14.75 but once they scanned the box then it showed marked down price.

Checked Hurstville Train Station this morning, sold out at 9:10am

@AsianHo: Did they sell out this morning,… after your purchase haha.

Hope you got one at this price.

            • @ozhunter68: I wish I got one, I asked and they just said 'we dont have any instock', the lady knew already. I went back to the Hurstville Westfield and asked, but they just said leave your name and item name and we'll get back to you

    Also to confirm Unlocked

    • Does it come with another sim starter pack that normally comes with that modem?

Managed to pick up one from Woden Coles. Thanks! There were still 2 or 3 boxes at the counter on Monday evening.

      • Just bought the last 2 at Woden!

  • I think most people who have managed to get one have the older Pocket Wifi 4G (not the Pocket Wifi 4G 2).

This is the Huawei R216H model - 4G: FDD LTE 800/850/1800/2600MHz 150Mbps download, 50Mbps upload

The 4G bands of the R216H don't seem good for Telstra or maybe even Optus.
    Comments or experiences???

    • I think you're right. I got the older Pocket Wifi 4G Huawei R216H model. Is there anybody who got the Pocket Wifi 4G 2 model?

  • 4g2600, 4g700, antenna input +Cat 6, pls; for the next one of these to go on sale; would be o.k. not necessarily voda fone.

    • Yep, antenna input should be a given - unfortunately rare these days.

Hmm, just noticed - the little cover on the side un-addressed by the set-upo guide or manual is covering two antenna ports..

  • Whats a good cheap antenna for this?

    • This is one cheap antenna - I won't know if it is good till I get it tho…

Most of the ones in this class seem to be the same one around the same price.

      • Very interested in your review of the antenna

        • I managed to get the Boost signal from one bar to three, however there is no numeric measure availabe, and that SIM was running well anyway. The Kogan [Voda] SIM had a lesser rise, however Vodafone appeared to be glitching out in my area on the day I tried it out.

  • Saw one just yesterday @ Coles, Springfield Lakes, QLD

  • Anyone know if any stores in Sydney has any ?
