      • Lol me neither, can turf some old ones now I guess

  • This code can't be applied to your order. I had it in my cart and the coupon was the last thing! At 13.01 it was gone! Dammit!

    • +2

      At 13.01

There's your mistake right there…..you needed to be on at 13:00:01

    • I think it's because the colour we chose wasn't part of the deal. I got done as well :(

  • +6

Damn I just got out of the shower & I missed the towel deal. how ironic….

  • Missed out again :(

  • +7

Wow, the towels lasted a whole minute. Not very popular then.

Got mine, but every time I step from the bath to dry myself in luxury, I will shed a tear for the lost Google Home Hub, and requet a sad song on my tic-
    tac purchased Google Home Mini.

  • +8

TOWELS SOLD IN 1 MIN. NOT LOOKING GOOD BOSE

  • +1

550 towels sold even though promotion stock was 300?

  • +2

So far getting anti ageing thingy and bunch of towels, not exactly what I'm planning to buy today :))

  • Somehow managed to get the towels! Thanks OP

    • +3

      Hope you got the Charcoal:-)

  • Anyone got the link for the Bose listing?

  • Didn't get the hub but got towels, not bad :)

    • now you can use it to wipe your tears
on what you really wanted most and missed out on

  • Had the correct page, had the correct code, had multiple pages cascade loading, got in within seconds of the minute, code worked, paypal was locked and loaded, "the seller doesn't have any left"…

Edit: Looking at the sales some towels were definitely sold well after I was already getting the no stock error… I only just realised the issue might have been with the specific colour I had selected. Argh!!! Why didn't I think to have multiple carts with different colours ready to go until now?!… hindsight…

    • How did you know which of the pages was to finish loading first?

  • +4

I got the discount to show up on the towels while still in stock but then realised I have enough towels already. That was a close one!

    • +1

Brooooooooooo it doesnt matter if you dont need it …. You gotz the deal maaaayneeee

      • +2

Here's hoping that, by not following through with it, a wetter OzBargainer than I managed to score a set!

  • am i doing something wrong?
had the item added in cart, when it was 1pm added the code, hit pay, but then get the message, seller has changed the listing…this also happened for the hub

    • That happened for me as well, i just clicked the place order button again and it went through

    • i tried again for the towels and procedeed. i got the same error message too.

    • yeah i got that too but i jsttried again and it went thru. ignore the spam

    • How do you even add it in the cart when it's out of stock before the codes go live?

      • added to cart from this morning

  • Bizarre, I had them in the cart. I had the code in the promo box. Kept refreshing code. I was told that the code wasn't ready yet, next second they were sold out. I don't understand. Who would of thought there would be that much demand for towels.

  • +3

Rubbish. Waste of time. Clicked on the towels as an experiment right on 12pm. Loading…. loading…. loading. 551 sold. In the space of around 9 seconds. Add to cart. Out of stock. It’s a case of whoever’s internet connection has the lowest latency to eBay.

    • +2

bloody nbn screws us over again

    • You make a good point, I've scored a few deals today and I just checked my ping to eBay.com.au, 10ms on average. I'm sure it helps.

Be interested to see those who have missed out what their ping looks like

      • +1

My ping is about 50ms as im in WA, only got the Towels so far.

        • Sydneysiders will get the best advantage here.

  • Whos got the link for the bose?

    • +2

nobody wants to share so they have best chance.

  • something doesnt seem right here….i had it my cart, applied the code and went pay then it said I dont meet the requirements….wtf

    • ebay plus membership?

      • yes on trial expiring November.

  • +2

Missed out on the towels at 1:01. Didn’t really want them anyway. Just shows how pointless this sale is for most people.

    • +1

So you didn't miss out then.

      • No. But my wife did

  • Got the towels.

  • +6

Reading these comments be the funniest sh*t ever ….

  • Got the towels as entree, time for the mains at 2pm…

    • +3

probably no mains for you (or me)

      • +2

Lets hope you are wrong for the both of us!

      • +1

Let's hope you're right for my sake! :)

I have set up a new keyboard (wired) so my F5 key does not let me down for the bose deal..Also polished the contact points and lined them with gold.PS: my internet router is in the fridge now for optimum performance.

    • None of that is going to work if you don't automate the checkout process ;) We dont know how many have already done that.

      • How do you automate it?

        • You have to do some scripting/use selenium etc. There are even some chrome plugins that will do this, but am not sure if there are any for ebay. Many used to do this to get Xiaomi phones from flipkart.com.

      • That would be cheating. I am a fair player :)

        • Looks like even ebay is not fair by not updating the deals page with headphones link.

    • and in true karma fashion the wired keyboard will fail under the F5 key due to cat hair clogged underneath (or you just have a recent Apple Macbook Pro that fails anyway). The contact points will be looted by the next prospector while you're not looking and the internet router will gather condensation causing the circuits to short out and fry the whole thing.

but hey, there's ice cream in there.

  • Towels didn't seem to popular. Had time to manually sign in via mobile browser into eBay, commit to buy, then sign into PayPal (also manually) and confirm purchase.

Seriously though very surprised they went in under a minute. Happy to at least have my Plus membership pay off in a very small way. Will make me feel better about losing out on the Bose later. Good luck y'all

    • I suspect the moment you click commit to buy the thing is yours and you can take your sweet time applying the discount and pay

      • I only get the option "confirm and pay" why not commit and buy?

        • I don't know. I was on mobile so maybe it's the coding for the page? Or maybe my account that's only a year old? Quite a few variables. Like I don't get the new seller dashboard on the account I paid with by default if I was selling something compared with my original, much older account.

      • Can only hope I get that option at 2pm

  • +3

Got SodaStream & Towels so far! Thanks OP :)

    • Same :)

    • +6

I'm not sure if this is either the best praise or the worst indictment of OzBargain. Can't imagine too many of us woke up with a spring in our step this morning, thinking, "Gonna snag me a deal on a Sodastream and some towels"!

Credit to all - I don't know how anyone could jag any of these deals without the insights provided by the OzBargain community…

      • +1

i think this is the futureof the human race.
robot factories and workplaces and humans sit at home all day trying to win ebay lotteries and work out listings and codes lol

    • Ditto. Needed neither.

  • +3

Needed to get the towels to wipe off all the sweat from the adrenaline.

  • +1

Don't get me wrong I am furious that ebay is trying to pass this as a deal but it is actually quite fun and exhilarating reading comments, getting yourself prepared and trying to snatch one on the dot

  • Missed out up until now. Picked up the charcoal towels. Not a complete loss after all!

  • +1

    bose code?

  • Missed out on the towels. Kinda wanted them as my current ones are getting old, plus they're the only thing in the list I would find useful. Lol, maybe I should try for the Bose and see if anyone wants to swap.

    • I will swap the Towels for the Bose! haha

    • in a heartbeat.. the bose is all i want from the list, but got the towels because I wanted to get at least 1 of the deals

    • I've got the Plush towels - will swap for Home Hub! Any takers?

  • What colour did you guys get? I got the pink towels lol.

    • blush

    • indigo

    • Indigo looked the nicest to me.

    • silver

    • Charcoal cos I'm a man and all that…

    • Got the coal one but missus wanted silver or pebble.. Woops! PM me if anyone cares to trade.

  • +6

    Worst birthday ever.

  • Is the towel deal a bit rigged? I looked at the list of buyers.. and it's listen as "private listing — buyers' identities protected" for most if not all of the buyers…

Unlike say the Google Home deal.. it shows the users.

    Am i over thinking this?

    • +3

Yes - I got the towels. Probably just a different privacy setting on the seller side

    • no they just have id off for their other listings too.

    • I got some silver towels. I saw the item as available on the deals page 1 minute before it was even due to appear so I dunno what happened.

  • +2

    Sad lottery.

    • gotta be in it to win it!

  • +2

+1 for the deal, not because I scored the Home Hub but because the comment read is just fantastic!

  • -2

Is there a link for the bose? and the code?
