Better off waiting for a decent MX500 deal if I want to use it for an OS in an old PC? Thoughts? This seems like its only $5 less than to buy locally so not really a killer deal.

    The MX is much better in terms of having more write cycles and it also has better read/write speeds.
    The BX is essentially a 'budget' ssd

    MX is better for an Operating System drive or video editing scratch/temp drive with it's better read & write performance.
    BX is great for a drive with game installs on if you're prepared to wait a tiny bit longer for a game to load.
    
    I'm planing on getting a MX 500GB for my OS & a MX 960GB for my storage drive for Steam & iTunes library once I get paid.
